Extraction Does it need to be an alcohol tincture to work

Yeah, I have just recently started poking my head in again. I had a period fraught with family, work, and health care business so I haven't grown anything in ages.

I like a little whisky too. Mostly Scotch. But in my house 6 beer lasts 2-3 weeks so you can imagine how long a bottle of liquor lasts.

You can pick it up in a health food or supplement store. Some athletes use it to give them fast acting fuel. It is actually a fraction of coconut oil!
I think the last time I got a litre for less than 20$ Canadian. It has lasted a while too.

For a while I was trying to make my own vape liquid and I could never keep it mixed. I tried VG and propylene glycol, but it never stayed homogeneous for more than a few days, plus it wasn't very strong.

Ok, that's what I was afraid of... thanks. Now next question is how can I lessen the burn. I dont mind pain, paindont hurt lol. I just dont want under my tongue to react like I dropped pizza cheese straight out of the oven on it. I can laugh about it now but sucked. Is reducing alcohol and adding honey an option? Have you ever bought tinctures from a dispensary? I dont mind if it's like an edible, I just want it to take effect faster like 15 mins or so. Can I achieve this with a lower proof? I have heard people say 3-5 drops and your good, that's what I want or would like is that possible? Tinctures I haven't messed with much yet so. I have read about mixing with water and rinsing in mouth would you absorb it that way? Any of these you have answers for let me hear them. I may just not get around the 2hr wait lol. I can never resist the rig while waiting for an edible to kick in hahaha.

Yeah, I have seen that. Might be my best bet tho. I got to go back to the lab and do some experimenting. R&D time I'll check the web for ideas see what's been done.

I’ve tried the alcohol under the tongue route and even though it burns that wasn’t my biggest complaint. I didn’t feel the effect as quickly as I expected. I tried the glycerin route as I read somewhere that it allowed sublingual absorption.

Now since all the crazy kids are doing the suppository route with the alcohol then maybe tincture suppository. Kidding

I was reading that depending upon application the body processes it differently. I think the best way for total absorption of all the beneficials is the
edibles. It’s a great chill way to take it, warm shot glass of diluted tincture Oman empty stomach works in 30 minutes for me. After diner takes about 90 minutes.

My thought recently has been that with alcohol tincture under the tongue the mix would have to be crazy strong so you don’t need a lot. Wonder how it would takes distilling out all the grain and water and then while it’s still above 150 but below 165 Adding your favorite back. But in this case for it to taste good the volume would need to be large. I think the idea is to get it all to absorb sublingual.

Anyone tried any of the wax liquidizers as a sublingual solution? Can someone put some of their cartridge solution under their tongue and report back, not with PEG please. Just kidding kinda

I have licks and it kinda burns a little. Not like hurting but bad taste and wont go away so it stays with ya hahaha. He says you can but I wouldnt rather do honey. I may just take tincture reclaim 80%-90%, then blend remaining with honey. I can then use sublingual and also put in my coffee and rinse under tongue then swallow. I don't need to be crushed but get things rolling. I would take edibles still. But I'm look a clock 2hrs so dont want to wait even 30 mins. I would think with some alcohol there would be some sublingual occurring. Worse come to worse it's a edible.

I usually take half of my tincture and reduce it down, then add that back to the remaining tincture. Personally I don't mind the taste.

Not a bad way to go. I just started to do tinctures so just need some time. I did some today, some Green Crack by fastbuds. Didnt grow right was sitting around so did it. Didn't think was much if any thc, but ok wow got some. Running out now will post a few pics later.
