So I've been doing some research on some diy co2 solutions that don't involve buying expensive ass equipment or $60 mushroom bags. I've watched several YouTube video's on a 2 bottle method, mixing yeast, water and sugar. I was wondering what you guys think about this.

A YouTube comment mentioned 1 gal glass brewing bottles with and airlock plug and it seemed like a pretty interesting idea. Couldn't you just put the pre-mentioned ingredients in the glass jug and run a hose from it from the top of your tent? You could even use the airlock to see if the ingredients are still active.

Also if this would work do you think i would be able to attach a valve to turn it off at night, or would that build up too much pressure in the bottle?

Yes you will get C02 with that. the thing is unless you have over 1000 PPFD (lots of light) can get your temperature in the low 80s with a completely sealed grow space you are wasting your time. I tried numerous times with c02 injectors from bottled co2 and the difference was minimal at best. Not worth the effort. If I had a commercial grow with all of the other bases covered I would then use C02.

Yeah I've heard that. I have temp and humidity pretty well regulated in my tent and I planned on getting a HLG 550 spec R for my next tent, but it is not a completely sealed room. It just seemed like a dirt cheap option to play around with. I might still give it a go for fun.

Hey bud, I use a 2L bottle. I put hot water sugar and yeast. Put a small hole in cap, cover hole shake. Makes co2, but only supplemental co2. I use a small tent and add it for some extra co2. You give co2 everytime your around your plants as well. I dont have a sealed tent but i leave my exhaust off until smell starts. It's not a lot of co2, but it cost pennies to make and does help. Give it a shot see what you think. Very simple and cheap only way to know if it's worth it is to try it... Stay lifted.
