Greetings Everyone and Happy New Year!

I am new here and received a very warm reception from everyone within 5 minutes of my initial post. I was made to feel like family! Very Cool indeed.

Wanted to Post some info about my current grow, I was inspired by Yodabuds to dig out my camera, find the cable (being baked it took awhile ) and charge it up. I am doing a little reading to figure out how to post my pics. Here is some background info:

Strain: Dinafem White Widow Autoflower (fem)

Current day : 43 since planting germinated seeds- Definitely do not think it will finish in 60-65. I could be wrong but...

Lighting: 270w 6 Module LED. Built for me by http://www.luyizhi.com/ The people there were intelligent and very helpful, I recommend looking into them- Great pricing and easy to communicate with them (shipped wicked fast!), purchased it direct from them (look for a gentlemen named Keen Feng) I hang it about 12-18" away, 90 degree lenses. Very Very similar to a blackstar or cidly unit.

Tent: it is a 3 foot wide, about 2 foot deep and about 5 1/2 foot tall tent from Gotham. $99 Bucks, been very happy with quality for the dollar.

Filtration: Hydrofarm 4" Inline, 4" ducting, and a 4x12 Phresh filter.

Temps: Lights on - 68 -70 degrees consistent and 50% Humidity. I have not checked temps and Humidity with lights off, I am assuming the temps are slightly lower at that time :) There is a good amount of negative pressure in the tent, and no smells until you open her up! Its a thick dank/skunk smell already. Pistils showed up late I think, Definitely not at the 15-20 day mark though, more like about 30 days?

Light Schedule: 20/4

Soil: Roots Organic Potting mix. When mixing I added about a cup of Earth Worm Castings per gallon, and a big handful of Perlite per gallon. Added Fox Farm 3-3-3 Jump Start to the soil as well. about 1 TBSP/gal. Started them in Party Cups and transplanted them (will not do this again as the taproot circled 1.5 times upon inspection at time of transplant.

Water: I guess I am lucky here, My tap comes out tested at about 6.8. I do not have RO hooked up but I have been using a PUR 1 Gal pitcher, and replace the filters early always (they lose their efficiency and filter poorly after about 2 months) I noticed the Tap water smells of chlorine, and after filtration tastes fantastic and has no odors or smells/tastes. I do not know if it removes the chlorine completely or now.

Nutrients: I go easy here, especially because they did show slight signs of over feeding (slight claw of the leaf, lower part of plant) I have been using my filtered water along with Neptunes Harvest Fish/Seaweed blend, Botanicares Pure Blend series, along with Fulvex, and Liquid Karma. I use less than suggested.

Pest Prevention/Maintenance: In Veg I treat with Dyna Grow's neem and pro-tekt. Dr.Bronners Pepperment (a couple drips) to mix it, I use a blender to incorporate the neem/soap into water. I put a splash of aloe vera juice (Lily of the Desert) to spread and make it stick a little bit. Gentleman named Jerry turned me onto that. I must also Mention my habanero spray. I am very impressed with it. Durng veg about every three days I now mist the whole plant with a Habanero spray. 5-6 habanero peppers per quart of water. I use a blender to grind it all up, add water and simmer (not boil!) for 20 mins. Strain, let cool. and Good to go. You must wear a respirator and gloves. Do not do it around your pets, close bathroom door when done. Many seem like this is a big pain in the ass but I do not. I was now able to get these girls all through veg without any signs of bites or production. I alternate between neem/silica treatment and CALICLEAN's Habanero recipe! I do not spray neem far into flowering. Another big thing here- I battled two spotted Mites.:cuss: They were getting into my area through a crack in the floor! I did a massive clean, sealed a lot of the cracks, and got my tent. Now, once the Borg has been there, prevention and maintenance must be Eternal. A Part of life. My Mites never reached a point of webbing or mass infestation. I think the Environment conditions (temp) kept their numbers very low. I learned on my first grow that Prevention and Maintenance is crucial. Just like a car! You cannot just set plants and forget it. They need some love.

First grow was Auto Skunk Mass - Advanced seeds. Out of the two 36g dry was my best. I let it finish out and I am enjoying the smoke! It needed a bigger pot! I only had them in about a 1 gal. It was a learning experience to say the least. This site right here helped me get through it- I mean it honestly. Thank you all.

Im going to let this camera finish charging, and figure how to upload some photos to share. This has been really fun and it is incredible to Smoke your own grown, harvested and cured bud. My dealer kept texting asking if I wanted to "get together" Lol- I had to make up an excuse about my crappy commission checks!
But seriously, I have a few problem vertebrae in my back that become mis aligned and cause severe muscle spasms. I wont take pills for this. I go to chiropractors and do stretching which helps, but my Herb makes the pain just about gone! A miracle medicine!

Very happy to be here, I will post my pics as soon as I can. Thanks for reading my long winded post!

EDIT: Some photos are now up, see below!

Just wanted to add another thing, I used a 30-60x microscope to help decide when to harvest. I Highly recommend getting one for this purpose. You can also use it to spot insects/pests. One Vendor I have used with great shipping and communication was Rogue Hydroponics. Company is owned by a Military veteran. They always treated my great. Free Shipping on everything whether its $1 or $1000. Cool.

I didn't take both of them out of the tent, Just one. Just wanted to show the stem on the one, it has like a thick hard bark growing on it! Other members have reported the same type of thing when using the Pro Tekt. The stems are super hardy and strong, it looks muscular! Sorry about the dirty pre filter pic , I am a smoker and I think the fan generates so much negative pressure that it just sucks smoke in the house through it too! Ony problem I am having currently is slight soil gnat issue. I have Mosquito dunks coming, and I spray the top soil with habanero spray (home made) Until I can get a better remedy. Some people swear by breaking up a dunk and mixing it in with the soil before planting. I have also heard dryer sheets? Today I am getting sand to cover the top of the soil, and I will now water from the bottom. Enjoy the photos, thanks for looking, Blackbriar.View attachment 161107View attachment 161106View attachment 161105View attachment 161112View attachment 161111View attachment 161110View attachment 161109View attachment 161108

JM, that means a lot coming from you, thanks for the warm response! I also just read through your information about PH - that info is golden! Definitely saved and bookmarked all that. I have so much to learn still, Im happy to be here to share my journey!

About the dunks, Do you use the whole dunk per gallon of water? or a 1/4 or 1/2? Lowes over here , they have them.

Hey Gotgreen! Nice to meet you sir! If you wouldn't mind me asking, what type of lighting did you use for that? And also, did you notice she was a bit sensitive to feeding? I had just a slight look on tips, and some of the older leaved got the claw like effect. I watered with PHed water, and backed off for a minute and noticed they all mostly straightened out. Man, 3 oz off one, That would be nice for sure but I don't want to get my hopes up too high just yet! :)

Im at about day 43-44, how long did she take you to finish up? My girls were a little bit late but you know what breeders always say about the seed --->harvest times. The Auto Skunk Mass (advanced) went way over 60-65. I think it went to like almost 80, and that is without leaving them in the dark for a few days, which I will def try out this time. Thanks for lookin! :D

glad to be of assistance mate happy new year!

i'm not really sure ob the dunks... KS has used them along with a bunch of other people... I just know they work... I need to get some myself as i've had a few fuckus gnats hangin around as well... :cuss: I'm sure someone will chime in... also you could try the search tool top right on the site...

;)Just got done researching the Inverse Square Law. Makes sense, very interesting stuff there. I wish I could have studied up like I am now back in high school!

Thanks for the tip on the search bar there, will be making use of that for sure. Happy New Year to you too! I just now said screw it and got dunks and these yellow card traps through ebay, a seller only 80 miles away that does free ship too! I like how convenient the internet is now, for things like that. Saved me gas and a trip to the store

Ever tried the sand trick on top of the soil? I may have a go at that and feed from bottom (after of course I water through the top with my dunk) Maybe in the future I will be bottom feeding/watering. Or possibly Feed through top, and water in between through bottom. Any ideas on that?
