New Grower Dinafem Auto Amnesia, MarsHydro Reflector grow.

I still have Amnesia #2 growing at day 54. She is a bushy girl and I am hitting the feed as hard and as fast as I can. I'm watering every 12 hours with 1L of fert water dosed as follows(in 1/2gal rainwater) 5-6ml BiioThrive Grow, 3ml Bio Root, 3ml Bio Weed and 3ml CaMg+. #2 is sitting at 20" tall at the moment and about 14" beneath the LED. She also has 3 CFL reflectors turned on her as side lighting, 1 grow and 2 bloom. She has what almost appears to be 4 pretty equal "main stems" that are much better developed with more bud sites than #1 had. I will let this grow out a little longer but it will have to be dried and at jarring stage by 11 Apr. I have ordered some Boveda 62% rh packets to jar with my buds so hopefully I can properly store this. I also ordered some cloning gel and rockwool cubes for starting blocks. Getting ready for my wifes 1:1 (CBD:THC) Dinafem Shark Shock CBD fem photo grow. I will be doing several first time techniques.

But to your point XOT, Don't be hesitant, she has been an easy plant to grow, that has been very tolerant of my antics. I will grow this again because I really would like to see if I can do better with her on subsequent grows. So go ahead and put this on your list. I will put up some pics here soon.

great job Tag. my chemdog looked about the same, green leaf's and amber trich's.

She didn't have as many amber trichs as I was worried about, about 10%. But since this is the first bud we've had in a while I wanted to ease back into it. I will let #2 finish longer to see what more I can coax out of her.

Day 55 Amnesia #2. OK it's pics day. But first, i must say a few things. I am feeding this little pig 1.8L every 24hrs. Full veg nutrient lode for 1/2gal, actually heavy on CaMg+, Bio Root and Bio Weed. Leaf tips look great as you'll see from the pics, actually the whole damn plant looks great, good color and just bushy as hell. The number of buds on this pig is simply amazing, and It should be at least double the weight of #1. Just look at all the white heads hiding inside that plant.

hell yeah tag. she gots budsites like I like. lots of em. that shark shock sounds cool brotha.best of luck on your photo grow. photo grows kick my ass.lmao

Thank you faded. Yeah I want to see how much they actually fill in. The buds from #1 are pretty airy, even though they felt pretty stiff before initial drying. So I am really going to hit the nutes hard once I switch to bloom. I want to force feed this thing, does anyone have a suggestion for an organic bloom booster. Something you always use.

Yeah, the Shark Shock grow will be fun, think I'm gonna start with a single fem seed, germ, veg for about 6wks, snatch 3 or 4 clones, wait a week and grab more clones. and then veg for 3 more weeks all at 20/4 light cycle. Then drop em all to 12/12 and flower them out sog. Meanwhile, I will start an auto at the same time as the mother photo, by the time I let all the photo clones veg at least a little I will be at week 11. So as long as the auto finishes by the time I need to shift to flowering I get another grow in and can try another strain.

Some observations on Amnesia #2. She has definitely stalled at 20.5" tall. I was hoping that she would get to at least the same height as #1 which was 26.5". I probably shut down her upward growth with the bloom light switch for #1. But she has a ton of bud sites and should easily have the main cola at 6" to 8" long with 4 side branches that will also have 6" to 8" colas on them as well. She is at day 58 and I will make the shift to flowering nutes today. She has been eating and drinking every 12 hrs and the plant still looks fantastic. Nice deep green color, super lush growth and pistils a plenty flying on. I have noticed that some pistils have already changed color to orange, but not a lot of them. I am not even going to look at the trichs yet. She has not really begun to resin up yet though, but should start soon with the switch to flowering nutes. The fan leaves have not yet begun to get used up. There are a few with spots but those were from splashed nutes.

Amnesia #1 is in the jar now. Filled a single antique blue glass quart mason jar. Still getting the hay smell when I open the jar, but it will mellow I'm sure. I have no self control, so yes I have been smoking this as it dries. Hopefully this allows me to leave #2 alone to run to full term. I must admit though, I do like the buzz from this, and will evaluate properly once it has had a chance to cure. #2 should be better as well and I will include it in the smoke report at the appropriate time.

I do not wish to sound cocky, but this has been easy. Almost too easy, I keep thinking something has to happen. The Amnesia's started out as little mishapen mutants, straightened out and have been a breeze ever since. I have learned much and am still reading and learning more. Picking up the little tidbits here and there. Like the CaMg issue with LED's, I pushed CaMg+ heavy through the entire grow and have not had a single issue. I do wish that I had had 2 lights for this grow though. I will probably purchase a second 96x3 panel before the next grow. I will also build a new light stand from pvc pipe to give me greater flexibility in setting light height and angle. With 2 lights I could have kept #2 under proper veg lighting when the more advanced #1 kicked into flowering. I think each plant should probably have it's own light when the goal is to grow plants out to potential. Look at Tangs grows. Typically each plant has its own light until Tang decides to go and double up new wonder lights on a beast Auto Euforia. 1 light 1 plant just makes sense, unless you only have 1 plant then 2 lights 1 plant sounds good. If you have 6 or more plants, run sog at the optimal footprint spacing. For the 96x3, 2 panels side by side, the foot print would be 4'4" square. Plenty of light at 14" distance.

Oh well I ramble

looking awesome Tag. gonna be a budded beast. I thought the same thing about the ease of growing these plant's. but then, I came here month's before I started and I believe that made all the difference in the world.my first grow was photo bag seed and I cloned the hell out of them with a diy dwc that I made from $30 woth of crap from wall mart. had 100% success with it to boot. seen a lot done with the rockwool and even bought some. just couldn't find a large enough humidity dome.lol

ElSam, I certainly hope she blows up. I gave her a 1/2gal of aerated water with like 10ml of blackstrap molasses yesterday and will start with full strength bloom nutrients today when she gets lighter in the pot. I certainly believe that coming here before starting a grow and reading for days will better prepare a person for that first grow. There are so many variables that should be identified and considered and/or addressed before starting a grow. Lighting, soil, good water supply, nutrients, ventilation, pots, tools, goals and expectations. And finally, good genetics. And all of these are discussed in some forum or section of this site. As I have told some of the newer folks over in introductions, All the information and resources we need to be successful are hidden somewhere here in the thousands of threads, and its all free for the taking. So shut up and read, and all will be revealed. and the seeds of the next generation of advanced techniques are the discussions of today on here. Lets make 2015 a killer year.

Ok, so I will plead guilty. I just went on a mini rant over on TaNgs BBK grow, concerning weights and accolades. And now I will post my dry weights from amnesia #1 with some pics.

Sorry no crushed velvet for a backdrop, just green little buds and orange hairs.

edit: I did this so that I can chronicle the full story on this Amnesia grow. #2 is going to be allowed to run full term, since I chopped #1 early. I want to give #2 every opportunity to do what it can in the time it has. She already seems to be stunted height wise, as she topped at 20.5" but she is simply overflowing with bud sites. I can't do any tucking because you just can't uncover one bud without covering up another one. She has double the sites that #1 did I believe. So, weight will be the final measure of the potential in Amnesia.
