Dialing In MEGA CROP for Auto's

HEY everyone um so it seems like I may have a cal mag issue again but some leaves say to much N if it's an older leaf that got hit with high N would it stay dark green and tip curl cause I know other types of nute damage is permanent. So I here asking if I need to give more mega crop or what? And some cal mag in when watering? I'm using tap water figured it have enough. Ph in promix is about 5.8 if that matters I'm also at 1.5 ec or 5 grams. Still early in flower maybe week 2 or beginning of week 3. Day 42 from seed.

@Greenleaf Nutrients: I have a question for you about the large amount of Copper (Cu) you are using during in the Late Veg/Early Bloom phase (0.2579 ppm) and even more (0.4333 ppm) in the Bloom phase. Does Cannabis use that much of Copper, because for other species the standard is on average five times lower. Doesn't this create an excess in the medium and will it not start to function as a herbicide in stead of a micronutrient?
I have similar concerns about the other micronutrients (Zinc and Manganese).

Regards,

Bob

Edit: I see that GreenLeaf Nutrients hasn't been here since November 2020, so I presume we won't be receiving an answer very soon from him/her. Maybe someone else here does know?

I never thought about it when using it in soil outside, but as I have found out, container growing is totally different.
Media tests would be a must. Careful notes will ensure a reasonable amount of accuracy. With this you can determine the actual uptake your girls use with your growing style.
Are your calculations based on Generally accepted norms for general plant growing or canna specific?

Mainly general plants (ie; strawberries, peppers, tomatoes). All use about five times less of copper, zinc & Manganese or molybdenum
That's why I was asking as there isn't much (correct) info to be found about the subject. And since Greenleaf Nutrients shared it's recipe on their website it's open for debate.
Most of the time nutrient company's don't share their recipes. The WUR (Research University of Wageningen) on the other hand does share it's recipes based upon their research. You just have to ask. Now they are doing research on Cannabis, but it is far from ready yet...
I got the base recipes for pepper, tomatoes and strawberries from them and based on that information Copper is used at 0.04xxx ppm not at all does it go near 0.25 ppm which for peppers would be about five times as high (ie, 0.04766 ppm) and would cause serious problems with nose rot. Just to say ;)
But, and this is a big but... Cannabis ain't no Pepper so it could be that they use up way more micro nutrients as the other one. Only well documented research can give a definite answer.

Fixed previous post thanks
I am not a good judge of what is wrong, even on my own grows. Send this to infirmary help forum. They wil need to know all about your set up. Some leaves have bent curved tips. spot could be mag def. There are many guides here to show you waht is what.

Is this a calcium deficiency? My CDLC’s are in early flowering and I just started with Bud Explosion. Around .8g/gallon, so 20% less than their early dose recommendation. Total PPM is 510. I’m in Roots Organic soil, and estimate the BE is about 200 PPM of that. This is the Sept 2020 version of MC, by the way.

I’m not sure how to adjust for this. Up the MegaCrop PPM to say 550? Or just add a little (ugh) CalMag? I’m only seeing this on one plant of the two CDLCs, but it went from a few spots of one leaf yesterday to a few spots on a few leaves today, so here I am. My first inclination is to just up PPM to 550 and see how she responds, but I wanted to check here in case anyone has similar experience.

@terp182 I would say up the mega crop slightly it is supposed to have enough cal mag for the plants needs. How much I could not say I grow in promix and feed by ec only apparently most ppl do it by weight or tsp measurements. And I don't know anything on bud explosion.

Hey @terp182 , early flowering is always where I seem to run into little deficiencies or imbalances with Mega Crop 1 part. Unfortunately I have yet to find a solution for it to have a start to finish healthy grow. I've tried playing around with Sweet Candy, Bud Explosion, and Cal-mag supplements. I can still get a reasonable plant, but always run into some problem or another.

Yes, that's calcium def, because you deducted the BE from the MC the BE. The BE is just not needed and even Greenleaf tewlls you no additives are needed. But if you really feel you have to use it, then reduce the MC to no less than 500 ppms and add to that. I'd not just add cal/mag as running 375 ppms of MC means you've reduced the available micronutrients alo and you'll soon be deficient in them also. run 500 ppms MC and add the BE to that. I'd just skip the BE.
