I always use cal/mag, but that’s because I know my situation needs it. What is your growing medium and lighting? Those two things have a big effect on if you use it and how much. Personally I would never start a grow without at least 0.25g, that gives me right at 100PPM/0.20EC in my water.Should I start cal mag at the recommended .5 grams a litre in early veg?

I don’t use calculators, I use my EC meter and here’s what I get and I’ve been getting these same numbers with an old bag of their cal/mag for over 7 months that my latest grow has been running. I start with rainwater that is 0.01EC in an eighteen liter bottle, the bottle could have 0.25 liter more or less. If I add 5g of CM, which is 0.28g per liter then I get 0.21EC. If I add 9g, 0.5g per liter, I get 0.40EC. Again, I have never even looked at their ppm calculator and these are just the numbers I record every week.i try to feed my girls based on their needs not someone’s chart.according to their calculator, 0.26 g are equivalent to 277ppm/0.55 EC... are you using the new formula or why is it different?
