Dialing In MEGA CROP for Auto's

Hey MC crew! I am making my way through this thread, but have a question. How do you store your MegaCrop (one part)? I go through it very slowly because most of my grow is no till. Even with the smallest bags available, I notice color change on the top layer of nutes in the bag. I keep it sealed when not in use and it is stored in 25% humidity. Because I measure MC by weight, it seems any moisture would throw off my grams per gallon.
Is this common or do I need a different container to store my MC?

Also, how do you ensure the proper ratio of pellets to powder?

Thanks!!!

I keep it in mason jars with desiccant packs. Shake em up every now and then to mix. Been keeping it dry for 3 runs now...

I store it in the original bag, I roll it down to remove air then zip it closed. Im in a very humid climate and have had nl issues so far.

Balls vs powder.... I simply shake the bag well and scoop it out. I weigh it out but as I use the same 1 tablespoon size scoop I pretty much know what my scoop weighs out to.

Just a small tip. Always use weight as your measuring parameter in stead of volume, assuming the MC stays dry.

I mix a concentrated amount up in a quart jug, then add a bit from that to my rain water until I"m at the desired 550ppm, or close to it.

How long does the concentrated last? What do you do with the rest of the fry nutes?

It lasts until its used up, which varies how long that is. Depends on the number of plants and how often they are getting fed. I keep the rest of the fertilizer in the bag.

Umm maybe I didn't make that clear....

I weigh it out....but since I use the same scoop everytime I pretty much know what a level scoop weighs. I don't worry about balls vs powder I simply shake the bag up and scoop out the number of scoops I need, weigh it, adjust, dump it in the bucket of water.

I also don't try to mix 1 gal...I do min 5 gal. This requires 15 grams for the PPM I want. Its easier to get an even mix of balls/powder when using a larger scoop.

Yeah....measuring small amounts like 1-2 grams at a time STINKS with the little balls. I actually grind up my MC in a coffee grinder then put it in a ziplock bag. Grow on friends!!

XOXO
