So the grow is going better than expected, and I also didn't take humidity into account when planning for my jungle. This is day 39 in 6.5L pots.

Humidity is currently 55%-75%, usually in the upper end of that range. I have my exhaust on full. My intake air is 50-60% which doesn't help (it's in my bedroom.)

Would some kind of defoliation help? Well, I know it would, but would it be worth it or would it hinder the plants? I'm worried about bud rot, mold, disease spreading etc. I've been taking 3-4 leaves off every watering on the under-canopy so they don't waste their energy on those. Considering removing the tiny buds too.

Cheers!

Hey! First thing first, great grow!

I assume you are running a carbon filter with exhaust, the carbon filters start to have problem with effectiveness with humidity over 60%!

A clip-on fan might work to move the air around along with a trellis net to spread out the branches, but since it's a cab grow with no support structure on the inside like in a conventional grow tent, my bet would be to buy a small dehumidifier.

Hi guys thanks for the replies, I forgot to mention that there's pretty much no floor space, or I would have put a mini dehumidifier in there!

The things i use are very small dont.use electric and cost about a pound to 150.each

Okay, I assume we're discussing only ghetto methods to reduce humidity, so obvious suggestions such is dehumidifier are out of the question. Use chalk. A lot of it. Or rock salt (halite). It's pretty cheap and will absorb moisture. Your floor issue is not a problem in this case since you can hang the bags with mentioned substances. I can't make any assumptions on how drastically it will affect your RH, but it's a matter of volume in the end. This will work (in theory)

he said they had no floor room for dehumidifier

Milkmann what solution did you come up with? I am starting to run into this problem myself.

Hi there it is essential you have a fan creating greater air movement in there, that way humidity wouldn't be so much an issue.

First up: It's in your bedroom?
A tent, perhaps, or a more permanent structure?

Run with me here, I'm a humidity guru ...! :kitty:

Edit: He mentioned no floorspace inside the growspace .. but where does the growspace get it's air? that's where you can de-humidify .. air is by far the best dessicant.
