On top I'm a tuck before pluck kinda guy. down around the container, I'll remove anything low enough to touch soil, or get in the way of watering.

Looks good.

I don't prune or anything myself. I leave leaves alone in case of deficiency or excess.

i agree with Arthur i remove any bottom stuff that stops me feeding them if the leaves are getting in the way also any leaves are blocking bud sites tuck as many as you can

Hey dudes. So, i did that thing @Arthur said, to allow watering. I did some lst and now i'm thinking if instead of cutting branches, i could "clean" the bud sites on the branch, leaving only the 2 or 3 in the top, that get light. Can this be done safely?

Have seen plants run pretty much completely stripped of foliage, but personally I try not to remove any more than I absolutely have to. Figure they're going to tell me I've got the mix wrong, and I'd rather have it be water leaves that show issues than the sugar leaves.

I'm not talking about cutting all leaves. But the sites where small (due to lack of light) buds will pop. The fan leaves around the bud sites left to grow won't be touched

I tend to clean up the "legs" on the girls when I have a good feel for what's going to just be a sucker. If that's what your asking? Here's one just down this morning, other than chop, she hasn't been touched.
