New Grower Deckards 1st Grow, 2x GSC Auto - Outdoor

Fookin bugs man!

Is there any way you could keep the roots cooler in future? Is planting in the ground an absolute no? Or maybe insulate the pots somehow? [emoji848]

The ground is a no, don't have a garden so growing on my terrace and not bothered about a gurrilla grow. I think I just need to pick strains more suitable for the climate, or start earlier/later.
I still have a gsc auto seed, I might throw it in in September, in November it will still be 15-20c during the day (at least at the start of November)

As long as the sunlight's there... It might work. [emoji848]

Yeah, maybe start them earlier next year.. Fookin plant BBQ over there! They'd love to be in the ground, I reckon.

Aw well, you can only work with what you've got. [emoji111]️

Sure, I've got a neighbor who grew all through last winter as I can see his terrace from my own, he didn't seem to have any problems

Hey deck! Been away so just started following your thread again, i dont know much about thrips, but i have had to deal with the other bastards, the aphids and since im also on a terrace i can tell you for next summer what to do. Neem oil sprayed on all plants once a week. That should work. First time in many years that i beat the damned aphids and i managed it this way.

hey moutros ! so far ive given the trips two doses of spinosad and i forget how many treatments of the mosquito dunk. at the moment i dont see any thrips or any fresh damage so im hoping that i might have got rid of them. the only problem im having at the moment is heat, pretty hot here and not much breeze, the auto lemon ive got is doing ok but its not a huge fan of the direct sun at the moment.... its just so intense.
i was aiming to harvest this weekend, ive just flushed them for two weeks. ive got a buddy who grows commercially in the uk for many years, i showed him my plants and he thinks they could still go another couple of weeks but im not so sure. they look ready to me. ill try and get some photos up at some point. he thinks they can put on more weight but i think my plants are so small anyway 1g or so wont really matter.

I dont know man but in my opinion the sun is never too hot for them, its only too hot when they are seedlings, after that they love the sun no matter how hot and intense, and where i am i know about hot sun believe me. Just water them late in the day , when the sun is going down .

I only say that as when the days are hotter the show some signs of heat stress, upper leaves curling upwards along the edges. I think it's heat stress anyway and seems to correspond with the hotter/dryer days

yeah i know they do that, and it is caused by heat but that doesnt really slow them down that much as other stressful factors.
Generally its good for the plants to be at the flowering stage when the extreme heat hits them i think.

image.jpeg Hi guys, currently seeing this on my auto lemon, any ideas of the cause ?
