The leaves on the CDLC are so fat, it almost doesn’t look like a cannabis plant.
Oh I know this is the wildest looking plant Ive grown so far. On top of that it hasn't had an upset day yet, nothing really seems to phase it. Between forgetting to water and the AC tripping and the room getting super hot for a bit this thing has been put through a bit of stress.

No worries man there is a lot of conflicting info out there on this stage. I've see it anywhere from just spraying the topsoil to watering the entire pot every time. I generally try to fall in between that somewhere. About a day or two before transplant I prep the pot with soil and water the entire pot about 2L or 1/2 gallon for my 3 gallon pot . I want it to be drenched but no run off. This is usually when I do recharge first. Then I let it sit till transplant and it's usually perfect by the time I need it. This really sets your pot up right for the grow and watering. Just watch it if it takes awhile and water the pot if it gets dry so you don't undo your work.

I always aim to water the whole pot to an extent. Usually I start out with 30oz or about 1 L and water it in a circle. I wet the entire topsoil a bit but focus my main watering in a circle around the seedling making sure not to water it directly. Once I feel the slightest amount of moisture on the bottom of the pot I know it's got enough. My seedlings in 3 gallon pots usually take anywhere from 3-5 days to dry out and that will slowly decrease as they grow to the point where I have to water daily pretty much.

If you do smaller pots and transplant up to larger ones as you go then this would be completely different. This is just my method for planting directly into larger pots.
Thank you!

My central ac is tripping to plus we got middle easterners living below us... And they don't run ac at all so it's causing are apartment to stay hot and ac running all the time... I got that portable ac unit... So luckily my lung room tent temp never exceeds 80°f but it usually stays at 75°f.... Plus I turned my 650r all the way to 100% now it's at 78°f and instead of raising plants and dimming which helped keep it alot cooler but now that I'm going to be running 9 I need it to get the best coverage.... Now my veg tent gets pretty hot with the 2 lights I have running in there @ 80-82°f but I'm buying a hlg 600bspec for that tent.... Now I got a bunch of lights for sale.... Lol I got a hlg qb 2 board with 304's in them but just that light isn't enough... I got my bar style linqool and it runs hot... So I'm buying led wire and going to splice and run both drivers out the tent that should help.... For now.... I was thinking Mars hydro but I don't know I like hlg..... What's your opinion on the 2??? Anyways have a good day....

Yeah that sucks with the apartment problems I remember that. You should be fine with 80. My light is on 100% of the time and my tent sits right at 78-80 and my plants seem to like it. Sounds like you're right on the money with it and have your ideal setup going!

As far as MH vs HLG I personally prefer HLG. I really like the new stuff they are releasing, kinda wish I waited for my 650r but thats not to say I'm not happy with it. I have a MH TS300 that I used for a bit and I liked it but the HLGs are just built much more solid and have great LEDs. To put it plainly on a budget I'd go with MH but if you want a solid light that will last and you don't have to worry about go with the HLG. I learned building motorcycles you get what you pay for so I tend to just follow that in life with most things like this. But yeah hope that helps! Have a good one man.

@Tattoochase
Oh here is a picture of that fan setup btw, didn't want to keep blowing up @Grimmus thread lol. There is a carbon filter sheet I cut out to block light and filter dust on it.

Oh alright cool deal, you notice much of a difference with them? I have considered it but at like 200 for the bars on Amazon I'm hesitant.
