Day 24/4:

They are looking very perky today. CDLC had the slightest little female sex showing so I'll take that. AvT is showing some signs of n toxicity so I might hold off on the top dress on that a little and give it a bit more water for some runoff. The rest look like they are getting ready to start their stretch so I'm ready for some growth :headbang:View attachment 1472508
They look lush and happy.
.

They look happy and healthy buddy.
Got some good color to them.

Day 25/5:

Well I forgot to water them last night like I meant to, they were not all to happy this morning when I opened the tent, well everyone but CDLC. I got them all watered and most of the droopyness is gone but you can still tell a bit. Going to hold off on the top dress till about day 28 at week 4.

They’ll bounce back!

So you water the seedlings right along huh? Ive been just spraying my surface with water a few times a day. I assume you do very little? Is it hard to tell when they need more at that stage? The weight of the pots must be pretty light all the time?
Sorry. This is the stage of the grow that I didn’t know what I was doing the first time around, and I’m still not sure!

No worries man there is a lot of conflicting info out there on this stage. I've see it anywhere from just spraying the topsoil to watering the entire pot every time. I generally try to fall in between that somewhere. About a day or two before transplant I prep the pot with soil and water the entire pot about 2L or 1/2 gallon for my 3 gallon pot . I want it to be drenched but no run off. This is usually when I do recharge first. Then I let it sit till transplant and it's usually perfect by the time I need it. This really sets your pot up right for the grow and watering. Just watch it if it takes awhile and water the pot if it gets dry so you don't undo your work.

I always aim to water the whole pot to an extent. Usually I start out with 30oz or about 1 L and water it in a circle. I wet the entire topsoil a bit but focus my main watering in a circle around the seedling making sure not to water it directly. Once I feel the slightest amount of moisture on the bottom of the pot I know it's got enough. My seedlings in 3 gallon pots usually take anywhere from 3-5 days to dry out and that will slowly decrease as they grow to the point where I have to water daily pretty much.

If you do smaller pots and transplant up to larger ones as you go then this would be completely different. This is just my method for planting directly into larger pots.
