New Grower Danielsaaan’s Second Grow

Day 29: Watered with recharge PH 6.7. Did some troubleshooting on the high temps. My carbon filter was clogged and the exhaust fan wasn’t blowing anything out of the tent. Leaving that disconnected for now. Do those things regularly clog so fast? I think the plants will be much happier with the temperatures now so that’s good.

They are a consumable item unfortunately and depending on the brand some will last longer than others. You can clean the prefilter, and when I feel my filters are at about 50% life I swap the end cap and hose cap fittings on each end with each other. They should just be held on with some sheet metal screws. This makes it so air flows the opposite way it's been going and you get the most use of your filter. Based on my AC Infinity filters I'm guessing I'll get 3-4 grows out of each.

I’ll give it a good clean and reconnect it at some point if the smell gets overwhelming in flower. Shouldn’t be too bad if I can keep the temperatures in check tho!

Your welcome buddy. And you have a humidifier in your tent? They plug them up fast. And dont run it with out the sock then you plug up the actual filter. Happened to my buddy I tried to tell him but he Don’t listen and has to learn the hard way. Lol.
I do have a humidifier in the tent. Only been growing 4 months or so. Is the filter shot, or does it just need to dry out?

The prefilter should just need to be washed. The actual filter should be good. You run ro water in your humidifier?

Nah, city tap
if you got one of them cool mist humidifiers it leaves a white residue or film and plugs up your filter in no time. Took like a month or less for mine had the same problem no pull thru my carbon filter. Washed the prefilter off let it dry got it set back up. That was 7 months ago I took the humidifier out and still sucking like it was the first day. Id find away around using one or get the evap style one. vornado is the most common brand I seen for them. There alot more spendy but worth it. They dont leave the film like the other ones.

Damn! Hopefully it doesn’t stink too much in flower then

I have small and large evap humidifier for my small/large tents and they work great. Only issue is you have to replace the wicks as they get clogged every month or so. Still better than dealing with that white residue.

The vornado one works great btw. Wicks are 5 dollars each and it's humidity read out is fairly accurate.

Shiiiiit. Wish this happened prior to me replacing my old humidifier. Will definitely keep it in mind tho! Thanks Dank
