They had a 163 plant bust in my area, recently. I guess the growers were doing great, Until they invited people over, got drunk and pissed them off...
Two weeks later, County and state police were watching their power meter... They were using 500 times the power their neighbors were...

Be careful. Lie to the power company if they send you a power usage assessment and say your place is bigger than it is...

If he uses 20 autocobs, that’s only 1100watts in lights and I could explain that easily. Although, in my state 20 mature plants, plus all the accessories & immature plants, would get you about 10 years without good legal representation and there won’t be any way of saying it’s for personal use.

Hell, they even busted a grandmother 70+ last year for growing and were trying to threw the book at her, 2 felonies and 10 misdemeanors. Lucky, a good cannabis attorney stepped in and got all the felonies reduced to misdemeanors, but they still nailed her with 5 years probation and about $5000 in court costs and fines. Not to mention the money probation will suck out of her monthly.

Yep.. He could explain the extra wattage by having a shitty fridge sitting in his garage...those things suck up electricity like there's no tomorrow when they're on their way out...

In my state, It's decriminalized, but not fully legal. You get busted with 100 grams,it's only a $100-250 fine.
A friend of mine got busted growing one plant outside, and only had to pay $100. Unless you've got a ton of plants, or a bunch of bags and a set of scales on you or next to your grow, The cops just take your shit, Fine you, and send you on your way. They're too busy with meth and heroin dealers/users in my area to really give a shit about a little weed.
