I switched to biobizz lite mix and I like it. I really admire everyone here that makes their own soil but I don't see it in my near future.

Sure can, but as @Frankthetank said... BE CAUTIOUS. SAFETY IS KEY. I've PERSONALLY never had a mason jar explode, but it CAN HAPPEN. Pressure changes, temperature changes, even the SLIGHTEST crack or chip in the jar can cause a catastrophic failure.

Here's an interesting grow, i'm always looking for those who do things a bit differently and this is one! midwest is growing in SobCool's super soil mix........with NO SOIL! He has substituted coco coir for soil in the mix, and his grow looks wonderful! Give him a look and some support! And help bring fresh eyes to our photo period section!

People say boiling everclear is dangerous too but I haven't blown any up yet.

I'm lazy.. I use promix bx with some additional stuff sometimes.. nothing special. It works great right out of the bale

This is the big one. Inspect the f*ck out of any jars you're using (if you're hell bent on doing it this way). I would try to use new jars if possible.
