They will not close the lake due to ice conditions(they don't even have the manpower to get the reg book right apparently...lol). Someone will likely die up there this season, because some guys are insane.

We get whitetailed deer here and due to the local feed for them being sweet corn(deer robbing the farmers of their sweet corn..hehehehe), they taste o so delicious. But the real delicacy here is the Ruffed Grouse. They are like chickens but just amazing tasting chickens even with just salt and pepper.

spruce grouse here, don't see much in winter, fall see all the time on the woods. Now is ptarmigan time, smaller and wilder tasting, pellet rifle fun

we have lots every year, haven't tried eating yet, word here is they good! I could stand in the yard and get them out on the tundra with the 223
