Got my Soil-Life in the mail this week!
I am excited to add this to my garden
and I also have a lot of questions about chlorine/amide and if it really makes a huge difference. I read somewhere that if you can't aerate a small amount of vitamin c or campden will do it.
That thought was enough for me to put a bean on the modem and start breaking up some coco for my mix. Thanks.

Hey man, small amounts of chlorine are actually beneficial to our plants but the microbiology doesn't enjoy taking a chlorine/chloramine bath..It will actually destroy your food web and diminish life in your medium..Ascorbic acid from what I've read does neutralize chlorine without adding extra vitamins but I've never used it..What I did was searched for a water report from my local water company and determined how I would go about it..I also used a ppm pen just in the beginning when I was planning my approach to using tap water..I figured out that my water is supplied with chloramine which is harder to remove from water without filtration...I ended up getting a $100 USD Hydrologic small boy carbon/sediment filter on Amazon and I haven't worried about water since..Granted, I do aerate my water as well as keep it heated after filtering, but just the filter would work fine..Just my experience.
All these water rituals.. why don't you all run fish tanks.. you don't even need fish!
A biological organic water source!
There is also a thing called pee ponics but not super keen on that idea.. although they say 1 persons pee can sustain enough wheat for that person per year! lol
