Glad your boy is safe. When we were kids, mom made us carry a walkie talkie when we would go exploring grandpas huge farm..it had everything..old pole barns, grain bins..creeks, washouts, river..acres and acres of timber , a kids dream spot to go hunting for any kind of artifacts. She made us take them after kinda the same thing with your son, freaked her out.

I was a city boy so my mom would just call the cops on me lol they rounded me up quick

It's pretty safe out here unless he were to follow the washes away from the property then you can get lost in the labyrinth. He ended up being on the other side and with the wind he couldn't hear.
