is a 70/30% mix coco/perlite sound ok.? what would you recommend?

thats a little much perlite for me, but it will be okay...I use like 80/20

I run 80% coco and 20% hydroton. Works wonders in my gardens.

never thought of that...I have a few large bags of hydrotons

I have used 100% coco with great results. Did just grow a 687+ grams autoflower on my third attempt in coco. Perlite is excellent to have to give some more aeration for the roots, if not using airinjection.
Sounds like alot of guys here are interested in coco. My advice is to keep the coco well saturated and not let it dry out.

I water my coco mix every other day or longer depending on how the girls are drinking

If i sat down in a country with warmer climate i will try to squeeze some answers from you on "how to grow monsters outdoors" .

Made it to the next village downriver from "my" village, safe river crossing there. Got gas and groceries. On the way back home passed a band of caribou 30 strong about a mile from the village, they need meat too. When I got home I went online to msg I returned safely. I had a message from "my" village that a whole sled load of mail was ready to go, probably be here today. What a great blessing to have friends!
