Hey but yall have some of the best military shooters in the world. A few months ago a Canadian special forces mil team broke the world record for the longest confirmed kill in a war/ conflict. 2.4 miles or 3540 meters with a Barrett 50.cal M107.

Yes we do.....i have shot a few hundred rounds along side a couple of ex JTF and other canadian troops. Yeah i heard about that.....2.4 is a hell of a distance!!

Just dont ask our guys what they really think.

government shooter, not necessarily the protector of the community
I see your point. I look at it this way though, good thing they are on my side. But never a good idea to use military force for local police work. Rules change. Shit can get crazy and fast

Now for scary law enforcement, its not the fuzz. but wildlife. these guys are insanely powerful. you do something wrong(somthing small)- popo- usually fines, tickets, jail if its bad enough. wildlife- you do something wrong (like fish size). They have the power to take all your gear, your catch or all of your catches, get fined and then on top of that is the popo side. More fines, could be jail time, court fees. With no hope of gear return after all is settled.

So in turn. I make sure I have all my ducks in a row so to speak. It only takes an extra few minutes to be good to go for the fishing/ hunting days.
up here game laws are more a political thing. Many laws, no felonies, no jail. You could loose your plane, truck, boat and guns if you flip em off too brazenly

Had a few friends growing up get their hunting gear, firearms (all of them not just the hunting ones), vehicles and atvs taken. But the crazies got caught spot lighting in the middle night from the middle of the road. And multiple times, like they didnt learn the first time, smh.

And thats the problem here my friend....how often does it come to that? Not very often i bet, because people tend to have more respect when their life is potentially on the line. Here they know the worst thing to happen is they catch a beating(which would also get the guy thrown in jail) or get caught and go to jail.
There are some bad abusers in these parts, the village is a dangerous place for women and children, Taiga Camp is haven, and safe, you can see this in folks' eyes and body language.
