I've been using Caliber meters for a bit and they seem to be some of the more reliable ones.. One of them is off by 2% for humidity, which is perfectly fine with me because hopefully my buds aren't that close to the edge where 2% RH would make a difference.. I've lately opted for mildly over-drying my buds and then introducing the Boveda packs to sort of "rehydrate" the buds.. I seemed to have achieved a better smell and taste during the cure, as well as I haven't had any hay-smelling bud in quite some time..
You should do a thread with your process!! I Dried My skunk slow in brown bags then Jared her up burping once a day for a week then just left her alone and her smell and taste was perfect no hay smell at all. Then I chopped my Haze and only difference is I hung dried her for 4-5 days then bags for a few more then jars and she still smells of hay lol

I like to hang them in a big uhaul cardboard box, cut out a rectangle as long as the box is wide and about 8 inches up and point a fan at the box on low

I use bovidia 59% and it keeps them at 62 steady now but I still have hay smell on the Haze but man she is fire and getting better I think it has to do with the initial drying think I missed something on her

Have no idea if this has any correlation..was told that you make sure soil is dry before cut to reduce the hay smell..was told it helps with the break down of chlorophyll ..no idea though..Iam sure some pros will chime in. I have always tried to harvest when soil was dry or almost dry, but my White Widow still smells a bit like hay , even with Borveda packs..but when put in the grinder ..she lets her aroma out and smokes great.
