My son has been asking for a drone. Seen this one and have a 70% off code for it. Wonder if it would be a good starter. Since Christmas is coming up and then a month after is his birthday.

Do you know what he's looking to use the drone for or to do with it? That style is good for a little light sport flying but mostly hovering around taking pictures and stuff. If he's wanting to get into something like the first person view drone racing, those are a little different style multi-rotor. usually smaller, more compact and with the camera facing a little more forward. Looking at goggles and stuff as well for the racing setups, so they tend to start at a little higher pricing.
