There's some good music around but I haven't seen quite as much of a strong positive vibe like what surrounded the Dead in the early days. It created a great community that amazingly still survives.

There seems to be more bad than good unless you're a metalhead or into the white boy reggae. Or the neo-folk stuff like The Steeldrivers or The Devil Makes Three.
That's just me though. My kids dance around to bluegrass and shit like Deicide, and give confused looks when pop music plays haha. They're both under 5, so i don't expect them to fully grasp my disdain for most pop music.

Haha yeah...when we first got our car it had that type of radio and i almost shat when i saw the dead channel!! Pretty much stayed on that channel until the service expired.
