Ive been running the girls at 75% light on my ballast from start and I was worried it was a wee bit much so turned it down too 50% last night and raised it to 34" from 30". . I was also running the lights 24 hours and now switched the lights to what I think will be a permenant 18-6 schedule.
What Do you guys prefer your lighting schedule to be?
I personally all ways start with 24hrs the first wk then decide but this grow im going to go 20/4
Can you not draw more fresh air in, not sure but they big lights must kick out some heat what are you giveing them just now as there very young light wise jkdel. christ i only give my girls 250w the first wk then on to the 400w. i'd love a crack at a 1000 watter you could grow monsters, lol
Hope you get your heat sorted mate and get some pics up seedling pics are better than nought lol
ps good luck with those little shite's hope you get them all mate
I went with a 20-4 schedule... I had one of them just fall right over...it didn't crack it just kinda bent over...idk I propped it up and it has been ok all day as far as I can tell... They all look good other then that. Still got bugs though but I expect they will be gone in a few days ... Temps still high so any ideas on cooling the room that don't cost a ton please let me know.
One more thing really quick my light is only 30" off the tops of the pots is that too low? where should it be I saw Hazy was running his 600 watt at this height to start so I thought it would be okay? I am sure I missed something haha anyway thanks again!
that should be fine but make sure your fan is blowing inbetween the plants and the bulb, basicly blowing the heat away from the tops of your girls. if you see the seedling leaves starting to curl up raise your light 4" then keep an eye on them if they're still curling raise a little more but when you get your fan this will be sorted mate
I actually am not I have a tower fan blowing through the hood and 2 oscillating fans one in each corner on the floor growing across the tops of the plants... I know now that I am going to need to extract through the hood but cant afford the stuff right now... I figured I would be o.k. since they were seedlings and liked the heat but now they are getting bigger so idk ... If anyone can help me with a cheaper route for venting my hood that would be great ! wondering if maybe I just put ducting from one side out of the room and just blew the tower fan through the hood if that would work?
