Indoor Copacabana, Muay Thai, Love Potion LED tent grow

Home late today. Here is what I came home to:

As you can see, compared to 3 days ago, there is some major problems happening here. Here, take a closer look..

S.O.S. -- what should I do?

Phone a friend?

:chef:

Just tell her it's okay if she smokes, but she has to go outside the tent to do it.

Yeah, sounds really good and actually it is good weed, except for taste, there's not much of it, at least the one I grew.
It took me some time to get used to the effect, there's no body stone or heavy comedown at all, so sometimes it gave the impression of not being high, while the mind got swiped on a journey into the clouds:)
I love MuayThai to be honest and I'll definitely grow some more in the next seasons.

Copacabana was also on my menu last season, got one quite big, she started to flower around 10 days before MT and still got a decent size(2,3 m). Sadly mold cought her badly and most of the harvest was thrown away, the remaining buds were pulled early.
The smoke was hot(lung expansion) also not much taste but the high was very speedy, racy and pumped. Like having three big cappuccinos in a row and trying to go read a book:)

I still have to write a proper smoke report of MuayThai some day, maybe next week I'll find the time.

Cool, thanks guys.

The plants are liking the new light. It definitely has more deep red to it, can see it just putting my hand under it and looking at the tint on my skin. The old panel is more orangey like an hps. I like it though and they're not expensive. I'm definitely feeling some cost fatigue with the equipment but it should serve for a long time to come and pay itself back in kind.

Here's some photos:

They'll be 18 days old this evening. The LP is in front, MT behind, and Copa on the right. Copa was getting less light on the side--just using the one light at the moment keeping the temps down and letting them relax a bit. I had the two panels on for about 4 hours last night and it was too much light, so I've turned the old panel a little sideways to light the veg corner on the right and it will give the Copa some more side light as well.

Temps have moderated and keeping the tent at 80 right now, and ranges up around 85 degrees most days. I haven't grabbed any silicate yet because I want the stems to stay pliable until I do some training. If another big heat wave comes along I'll think about getting some but we look okay for now, weather-wise.

As you can see, I got a couple laundry baskets and tied string to give some training area. I just planted the SourBubbly and the Devil Cream. I think I'm going to hold off on a sixth plant for now because I expect the two superautos will end up taking up a lot of space.

Here's the LP, she looks really nice with good leaf color and always perky. I like perky ones

Here's the Copa. It's got some yellow leaf damage in a few spots, I'm thinking finicky/ph related. It looks like the cotelydon leaves are yellowing on it so I'm thinking to start her on the 1/4 dose of the Sea Grow 26-26-26. I have some CalMag+ as well, probably give a little of that too with the feed. I think I can water every three days or so now, and I'd like to get a ph meter before I water on Monday. I use Bragg's natural living apple cider vinegar to lower ph.

The cotelydons on the other two have not yellowed and they don't appear to be hungry so I'll hold off on any feed for them.

I was split on whether to top or FIM. Went ahead and tried a FIM, never tried that before. We'll see how it goes. Once they get a bit taller I'll go ahead and bend those main stalks over.

Here's the FIM:

Not sure I hit it right or not but it's fun to experiment...

That's too bad about the mold on the Copa. I'm surprised in that the description says it is ideal for wet climates.

I definitely don't want a racy early high on anything I've got so I'll be sure to let them go long, thanks for the heads up.

Yes, don't harvest too early the sativa plants to avoid raciness.
She would probably not mold in wet climate alone, but mine was grown near a vineyard with lots of mold on dead grapes, so the spores had a short way to travel, also the constant wind direction helped a lot the mold.
Otoh, MuayThai handled it like a champ, practically NO mold on a 400-500g plant(not measured dry weight) and was growing in the same spot.

The resistance might also be pheno-dependant, your MT and Copa seem to have broader leaves compared to mine, let's see what comes out and how they develop.

Balarama, thanks for the reply, good info on these strains.

I took some pics this morning, I turned the led off so we could see the natural leaf color. I had both panels going during the night and now with it angled the Copa really benefited from the extra light and looks a lot less droopy:

I bought a cheapo soil ph testing kit for $6, and the sample I took looks around 6.5 to 6.7. Therefore I think I need to water in at around 6.3, what do you think? Does the vinegar "wear off" over time and make the ph swing back up? Should I aim the waterings a little lower? Would appreciate some advice.

Gave them a feed today. The Copa started showing more ugly spots on her leaves, I assume these are hunger pangs and I'm not going to worry about it right now and monitor the situation. They're beginning day 20 tonight so I gave her about 3.5 ml of CalMag+ (Botanicare) per gallon water with her first 1/4 tsp of the Sea Grow 16-16-16.

I thought the others might be getting hungry so I gave them about 2.5ml/ gal of the CalMag with a spoon of molasses. After I watered that in, I gave them a few drinks of the feed bottle to get them started.

Here's those leaf spots on the Copa:

Thanks again for your interest and input.

I have been looking at the nutrient burn/deficiency resources available in the infirmary and I'm thinking the plants are basically hungry, for the Copa I think she must be showing that she wants potassium and phosphorus, and also calcium and magnesium at least. Thank you Waira for the cool post https://www.autoflower.org/index.ph...irty-deficiency-picture-depot-expanded.43164/
I think maybe all the plants show some signs of hunger. Funny, I do too. he he

Day 21 -

We're doing fine. Plants have reacted well to the feed and watering last time.
The new growth on the Copa has good color and I think they'll do fine.

The Love Potion has thrown out a couple pre-flowers and looks ready to change gears

The Muay Thai looks healthy. Not sure about the FIM, maybe I'm getting an additional branch so it has three tops instead of the two I would have gotten by topping. I had the tip bent over for a while after the FIM, so it got less growth hormone than it should have--probably a mistake in retrospect. Overall, not really concerned as I'm more trying to slow her down than anything so she doesn't hog the space.

Both the SourBubbly and Devil Cream popped this afternoon, so this is day one for them. I began to doubt my seed poppin methods after those 2 MassiveMidgets no-showed on me. Phew! I've never liked the paper towel method much.

The old photo beans I threw in have not popped. Their little pots dried out with the fan and hot/dry in there. I might try the paper towel method on some of the others. Was interested in the photo crosses for smoke, but more interested in growing autos anyways so let it be so.
