Cool, thanks guys.
The plants are liking the new light. It definitely has more deep red to it, can see it just putting my hand under it and looking at the tint on my skin. The old panel is more orangey like an hps. I like it though and they're not expensive. I'm definitely feeling some cost fatigue with the equipment but it should serve for a long time to come and pay itself back in kind.
Here's some photos:
They'll be 18 days old this evening. The LP is in front, MT behind, and Copa on the right. Copa was getting less light on the side--just using the one light at the moment keeping the temps down and letting them relax a bit. I had the two panels on for about 4 hours last night and it was too much light, so I've turned the old panel a little sideways to light the veg corner on the right and it will give the Copa some more side light as well.
Temps have moderated and keeping the tent at 80 right now, and ranges up around 85 degrees most days. I haven't grabbed any silicate yet because I want the stems to stay pliable until I do some training. If another big heat wave comes along I'll think about getting some but we look okay for now, weather-wise.
As you can see, I got a couple laundry baskets and tied string to give some training area. I just planted the SourBubbly and the Devil Cream. I think I'm going to hold off on a sixth plant for now because I expect the two superautos will end up taking up a lot of space.
Here's the LP, she looks really nice with good leaf color and always perky. I like perky ones
Here's the Copa. It's got some yellow leaf damage in a few spots, I'm thinking finicky/ph related. It looks like the cotelydon leaves are yellowing on it so I'm thinking to start her on the 1/4 dose of the Sea Grow 26-26-26. I have some CalMag+ as well, probably give a little of that too with the feed. I think I can water every three days or so now, and I'd like to get a ph meter before I water on Monday. I use Bragg's natural living apple cider vinegar to lower ph.
The cotelydons on the other two have not yellowed and they don't appear to be hungry so I'll hold off on any feed for them.
Here's the MT:
I was split on whether to top or FIM. Went ahead and tried a FIM, never tried that before. We'll see how it goes. Once they get a bit taller I'll go ahead and bend those main stalks over.
Here's the FIM:
Not sure I hit it right or not but it's fun to experiment...
