Grow Room Contemplating grow room

So I'm considering making a grow room.

I have a spot in basement that is about 4x20x6. Floor is concrete and walls are block. Block walls are already painted white and the ceiling isn't finished.

Do I really need to prep the area to be grow room? I would assume I would just need to add lights and exhaust fan right? Area is cool so I'd need to get a heater for that area.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Have you measured the humidity lately?
Will it be subject to bud wrot because the humidity is very high later this spring?
If you have a dehumidifier, you should be ok.

I have a dehumidifier and that area is slightly raised so no water issues in there. Right now my tent in that space is at 49% humidity so I don't expect a huge issue.

Would I need to add reflective stuff to walls?

I see there are a couple cutouts in joists that lead to a walker off section in my basement. Looks like I could easily vent to that area pulling vacuum from door to space which should prevent any odors

White paint is good for reflective but if your in a cold climate u might want to consider insulating those exterior walls and floor. Yes for ventilation and a filter if u wanna stay stealth

I have enough outlets in there and later this week I'll have 2 lights. So not enough light for whole space but enough to start.

Well, your going to need high humidity for the start of the grow. You have a humidifier? And can you hold 79-82 fahrenheit?

Currently using tent in the space I want to convert.

I have humidifier but not one of the ones you can set actual level you want.

As far as temp I'll likely need a bigger heater to maintain temp. Natural temp in that room with no heater is 59F
