Combating the hot humid summer.

Inkbird controllers to run your ac and dehumidifier would be they way to go bro. Then you don't have to worry about turning them on and off.

They work great! Good luck bro!

Awesome suggestion. Gonna check those out today

Yes!! It's basically ro water. But, be sure to keep the dehumidifier res clean. I use peroxide to clean mine.
Awesome dude that's exactly what I was thinking it would be like. How often do you clean your res like once a week or so?

Every other day. I'm emptying mine 3 times a day. Well thats what it's been this week, lol. (50 pint unit). I just wipe it out with peroxide then give it a good rinse with the sprayer on my sink. Nothing major. Just to make sure no funk is building up

Excellent information :pass:ill give it a good clean tonight. I've already had to empty it three times also since yesterday afternoon.

That definitely puts me a little bit at ease. Botrytis is a major fear of mine and I don't wanna see my work ruined by me being carless with my environment. The hottest my tent has got was about 90 before I scrambled to get the ac figured out. My heisen ac has a dry setting that doesn't seem to do much as far dehumidify and when the ac is on cool mode it brings my temps way down but for some reason my moisture levels climb up over 65 sometimes to 70. I ran both the ac and the dehumidifier yesterday in the lung both on low setting. The dehumidifier running at 50% and within an hour my temps were stable at 78 with 49-51% RH inside my tent. I think on the worse days of the summer this will be how I run my lung to keep things in check.
You need to understand how "Relative" humidity works. Warm air can hold more water than cool air. So what is happening here is the warm air has x amount of water in it. When you cool it the water amount remains the same but the Relative humidity goes up because the cooler air holds less water. It is the same amount of water but the cooler air can hold less so the reading of what is in it goes higher.

Does that make sense to you?

Well I'll be the first to admit when I am naive about a topic and RH is one of them. After a couple articles and YouTube videos I think I have a better understanding of the situation. My biggest take away I'd that I'm over thinking it/overly concerned.
