Mephisto Genetics Coffee Monster brews some Mephisto with an Amare SolarPRO 400

I agree, but I am an old school grower that always checks pH. I have seen more than one person get lock out because of improper pH. That being said, some nutes do not need adjusting..depending on your starting water. I am currently trying out Biotabs. Once you get going you only add water to the reservoir. No pHing needed. I have always checked my pH on all of my nutes. It only takes a min, but can really mess up your grow if you are off. Good luck

Quick question on this (I'm a noobie), if my PH in my water is good, I get it from a filtered water container and the PH was at 6-6.5, do I have to recheck the PH again once I add nutes? Or it's fine...

I always check after mixing all nutes. Mine usually need Silica for up.

Absolutely... Even ph perfect nutes need to be checked...anything you put in you should check. Ppm is super important with autos most burn around 800 to 900 ppm. Try getting your ppm that high with out getting some nitrogen toxicity. I hover around 700 in flower and never over 500 in veg if I feel the plant can use more ill go as far as 900ppm in mid flower....lighting temps and humidity also play a role if the plants healthiest it can be go full strength other wise less is more. Also your soil has alot to do with ph staying stable.

Sorry, but what does "ppm" mean?
So I can mix the nutes in the water, stick my ph pen in there, and use ph down or up accordingly to get it to 6.5? Or ,what are safe range levels for PH?

Ppm is parts per million. How much nutes are in your water pretty much. Super important if you wanna grow cannabis.

Update time

SODK was hit with a cal mag def. I think I caught it earlier this time. First the mag symptoms then a few cal spots

I hit her with some Botanicare cal mag, epsom salts, and all of the girls got a low dose feed with AN Sensi bloom and Bud Candy.
I thought about foliar feeding the cal mag but believed I caught it early enough that it wasn't necessary

Her lst seems to be working great!

Here's Hubba, she's been as quiet as a churchmouse

Poor SODK has lost a LOT of her fans. Gave her a foliar of cal mag and some decent feeds with Tang's easy schedule, she's still being hit hard by, idk, looks kinda like mag def still, maybe n
Wondering about her ph but the accurate 8 says her soil's at 6.9 so... (saving up for ph and tds pens) I have no clue what else to do... am loving the lst results though!

And here's poor Hubba... I'm afraid I've done a number on her, needed an airpot and less watering, shoulda lst'd her and save the topping for a different girl... blah, blah, blah...

Behind Hubba is baby Sour Stomper, kinda bummed, don't plan to journal her at this point

I think I may know how @Yeatster seemed to be feeling the other day
:grump:

May I give you my opinion? It is the light. You need to up your Calmag more with cobs., More than you think you should. That and lamp distance, get closer than 18" -24" and you will most likely get the Calmag def look. I think most people see a change in feeding requirements when they switch to cobs. Next run either add more Calmag or use amend your soil. Cobs are very strong, and make your plants really crave Calmag, a deficiency can literally pop up overnight... Especially if you have too much light/too close. Just my 2cents. I have a bunch of cobs, and you may have to experiment a little to redial your plants in.
