Lighting CobShop picture thread Bring on the beauty!

What makes this hard is a lot of companies spit out numbers like they have a clue. I would be lying like everyone else if I gave an exact distance. The only way for an accurate distance is to try and read the plants. I usually go by 20-24” myself in flower. I also write things down. This way I can try and adjust before the same problem occurs again. There are just way to many variables to give a one height fits all.
Thanks man...I appreciate the honest answer.
I can say this...they freaking love the light. I'm running out of room; they are now within 18" of the light and my tent isn't going to be tall enough if this keeps up!

From what I see they look fine at that height. If you have any bigger branches you can pull them outward to help keep the gap as far as possible. The preflower stretch is usually insane depending on the strain. I think @Dabber gained feet of growth during his current crop. This is the most important time of the grow so I try not to do anything different. Not saying a change will trigger anything but it’s not worth the risk. Looookin good!

The problem is that I also don't have any more room on 3 sides of her! She's touching the sides of the tent...lol.

I know they are needed for the secluded benefits but this is why I don’t like tents. Trying to figure what will fit was always a problem and very rarely do you get it right. How about using scissors for the space upgrade. Lol. The canvas isn’t to hard to remove.

The BT did explode during stretch for sure I'm heading in to chop Lucy today :cooldance:

I have been pondering this very thing due to my fit problems. The room that this tent is in is about 12' x 12' and is unused. I can control the temp and humidity easily (I'm doing it now) and it would be a lot easier to just have the plants sitting on the floor.

The only thing I wonder about is the exhaust. I bought a 6" carbon filter exhaust rig because I didn't know how smelly it would be and so far, it's not smelly (not much) but I haven't gotten to a full harvest either.
I'm growing two plants at a time so no big operation here...just personal stuff.

I'm giving it some serious thought.

As for smell I will put my .01 in. I have no filters and now grow with my doors open to a 12x10 room that has a door to the open basement which has a dehumidifier siting in front of that doorway which doesn’t close all the way so humidity can be controlled in both areas of basement. I closed the doors to my closet the other day to raise temps a few degrees for seedling and I have two girls ready to come down very soon. The house stunk when I woke up. I leave the doors open and can barely smell them. I have a lot of air movement in the basement with a couple different scented air fresheners and it tricks the nose you’ll catch a wiff of weed then triopical breeze lol. I’ve had people over with full flower going on and nobody knew. For reference this is with gold glue and Bluetoof two stanky girls. I’ve grown a ton of mephisto strains and haven’t had a problem yet. Gonna try sour livers soon that should be a test. Another note that’s with up to 5 plants in flower harvest close to or over a lb depending on strains.

Well, I ended up just buying a 3' x 3' tent and calling it a day. It was only 80.00 and it will stop my issues on this, and any future grow. I guess it's a good problem to have :) outgrowing my space.
The problem started when I decided to only grow one plant at a time (that would have been fine) but then I decided to overlap so I could have harvests closer together...then after buying the AutoCobs and MegaCrop nutes, I guess I did better than I thought I'd do and my NL Auto got much bigger than I had anticipated after her less-than-impressive start. That's how I got here :)

So I guess I have GreenLeaf Nutes and BigSm0 to blame for costing me 80.00 more! :)
