They say start at 30inches and go from there. Is there a range of how high I place these lights
I for one cannot say enough good things about these lights! I even put my money where my mouth is and bought a kit of four AND 4 almost completes! I now have eight of these bad boys (girls?). Now I am getting ready to put the almosts to work now. I purchased a driver that would run two of these and decided that I want to use that to run 4 smaller cobs of my own design for my mother cabinet. That leaves me with this question. I think that a Meanwell HLG-240-C 1050B should do the job nicely if I am figuring correctly. 1.05 amp at 50 V will give me just shy of 53 watt per COB and with 238v available it should run all 4lights. Is that correct @BigSm0 ??
I really think 3 would be close to overkill. But the good new is you could dila them back and bring them up as you get a plant hard in flower. and that can change from location to location in your grow. No need to fiddle with lamp heights or positions. Just set the coveraga right and put them right up in the top and let the power of the lights compensate for any adjustments in crown helght and growth stage.I'll probably be upgrading to a 2x4 tent in the next 6-12 months and won't be upgrading past that for the forseeable future. Obviously 4 autocobs would be *ideal*, but how well could I get away with three? Looking to run a 1-2 plant perpetual grow, so I'd have about 3 plants in different stages going at once.
I have a 2x4 that I am planning on growing vegetables in this winter. I was going to use T5 but now am going for three autocobs. Lettuce, tomato, and peppers for a winter of fresh salads!I'll probably be upgrading to a 2x4 tent in the next 6-12 months and won't be upgrading past that for the forseeable future. You can grow yur self a ferocious amount of smoke in a 2x4. But you will want to train the crap out of them early to get a solid even canopy early. After that just let them run tall and leaf tuck to keep the rails flowering.
