Lighting Cob?

I know this isn’t a cob but it looks like the coverage area for the mars hydro II 400 full spectrum led has a 2.5x2.5 flower coverage. But I’m guessing the cob setup would be better?

Opinions about lights are like assholes, everyone has one. And they are usually different than everyone else's. That said I've used hps for years when I first started to grow and got great results, downside is the power draw, heat and cooling.

Since then I've given led a go, I started with 600w marshydro panels the gen 1's pulling 260w didnt get too hot and the fans I run are strictly unnecessary, when it came to the plants it did great, as long as it was 1 panel per plant. I have since moved to diy cobs, I run 6 citizen clu048 1818 chips with 2 meanwell hlg 185h c1050b pulling 400w total from the wall. With cobs there is absolutely no heat in my room, no noise, and no need to cool. The fans I run are strictly for air movement and for my filters to keep my air smelling normal.

I have a buddy who runs a 2x4 tent with 4 clu048 1212 chips @50w a chip and he's harvesting just under an elbow each time, he scrogs photos but still the lights are capable of penetrating his canopy and delivering where it counts. Good luck with your decision bro
