I have a tasty that has meanwell driver 2100ma I have to leave it on half or I fry leaves and even at half I still get leaf destruction. Tasty stopped using the 2100ma and has went to a 700ma would it be a good idea maybe to swap my driver out for one that runs around 1050ma or 700 ma to get more out of my light.

that makes loads of sense, depending on your height I would go with 1400 / 1050ma (I've not driven @700ma, sounds perfect for veg). My findings so far with my 2 lights are that I can get my 1050ma light to 10" to 6" from the canopy and the 1400ma 18" to 10" from the canopy. I've founds no difference in the 2 drive current bar the 1400ma gets that extra penetration and the plants can get closer to the 1050ma also the 1400ma adds about 3 to 4c to my tent over the 1050ma... if I could do co2 I would be driving 1400ma all the way.

My rule of thumb... "When you think she's at her peek.. Give her another week".. Lol.. She looks about ready.. So I'm gonna give her another week. She got her pre harvest haircut and trichs are getting cloudy.. Officially at retirement age! Day 66 from sprout.

Using a "cob" as a reference point is muddied up with all the variables in cob chips available.effeciency, lm/w, spectrum, cri, voltage ,current and temperature etc...all come into play when you decide how to grow w cobs. ... This is my first grow with citizens and first in a almost 2 years w cobs. I've used 3 different types of cobs and ended up with 3 different heights for 3 different environments.Par measurements and "general rule of thumb" for specific set ups seem to be the best way to dial in a grow in my humble opinion. this is just my experience and I'm still playing with it , so take all that tirade w a grain of salt.

I go with that rule as well, it amazing how much extra swell you get when you just leave them that extra week or so... I more than likely leave them a week to long.
I also go by when they stop drying the pot out, that also gives me the week to go marker.
