What this a literary person in our midst !!!! I haven't a clue who's in or who's out .Gauge Steel hasn't been around in a while for one . I'm still in . Maybe buy the week end people will declare their intention . I posed a question on COB lighting which appears to have only added further questions . :nono: Like " how long is my rope ?? "

maybe I can help bear,.... they say 32w per square foot is a minimum which is about what I nearly have in my recently made array. It all comes down to how hard you drive them... I like to go for 1050ma because of height restriction, I can then let the plants get to 10" from the light, some closer depending on the strain... got a G14 that want to be right in the light at the moment.

I'm using 2 of these in a soon to be 4' x 4' tent I didn't understand what they were trying to tell me not being familiar with the concept of COB lighting . https://pdgrow.en.alibaba.com/produ...?spm=a2700.8304367.prewdfa4cf.7.6c3610dVPplkC

to be honest that a DIY answer not a bought light answer... that looks like a pretty cool light, cree and meanwell drivers, awesome. They don't say how much its being driven by but a guess higher than 1400ma. Should do you proud, do a grow and see if you need a 3rd... or to help throw a burple in between to boost the spectrum and par. This is one of those times that we wish quantum par meters are affordable, could easily see if they are enough light of not.

Have you ever considered using defoliation? Looks like those buds could use some light!
Hey Prophetiko, actually I did on some earlier grows, but i don´t like it on a personal basis and I havent seen a difference in quantity in the end, either a little less on the defoliatet plants. I made the experience to let them their leaves weh till the end, so they are able to use them for the photosynthesis, especially the sugar production and deposure and they deal with temperature better if they have the leaves, they use them for cooling and warming as far as i know.

I have a tasty that has meanwell driver 2100ma I have to leave it on half or I fry leaves and even at half I still get leaf destruction. Tasty stopped using the 2100ma and has went to a 700ma would it be a good idea maybe to swap my driver out for one that runs around 1050ma or 700 ma to get more out of my light.
