A good heatsink will reduce heat and prolong the life of the cob. There are screw in led, household bulbs in the same spectrums of cfl . You don't need as much distance . The Autocob is a good light!

Yes I have tried screw in bulbs with mixed results. I was just looking at something smaller and brighter.

I think you will find the COB with a passive heatsink to be a good choice. On my recent COB build I designed it so the heat sink was out of the tent and have 4 COB individually suspended much like a AutoCob.

In my build the height of the COB and heatsink are about 6"

The cheap meanwell remote drivers are very good and pretty cheap mate. £15 quid for a 60w. Have used a few myself

3rd March and loving the cold. White cheese with the super crop bent top is still a week or so away from harvest. Got 4ml old timer bloom , biobizz top max and some molasses in 1.5 litres aged tap water. The sideways top bud is the thickness of my arm. I had to counteract the weight a bit.

Berry Ryder week 8 - a slow but steady girl , the smell is lovely. 4ml bloom, topmax, calmag. No midweek water as still heavy pot.

Bubblegum week 3, no midweek water but she is starting to grow up now. 2ml grow, seaweed tonic, 0.5 ml calmag and 0.5ml bio in a litre of aged tap water.

My between Dinafem grow battle test run on the Blue Kush. Week 1 in water 25/2 and sprouted 2/3 , left without light overnight and got lanky so built up dirt around stem to give her support. The pot was still very heavy from soak a week ago so no water yet. I will check midweek to see how she is.
