Indoor Casper79's LowRyder#2, 200 watt Apollo 6 LED soil grow in stealth cab

Yeah this LR#2 bean is literally the size of a tiny dot. LOL. You can tell the end wants to open up. Still nothing yet.LOL. I hate the wait period when germing a damn bean Virginia Gent. LOL.

Hey Casper, I know it's hard to wait when you want it to happen so badly. I have had the same feeling before and I have ruined a lot of beans because I was poking around and messing with them so much. It seems like when I'm frustrated with it and I forget about them for a few days all of a sudden they sprout.

Thanks brotha. im going to leave it alone. LOL. I check it atleast once a day though for moisture on paper towel

Just a lil update AFN family. I went to Lowe's tonight and got all organic medium instead of using the Miracle Grow medium with the time release nutes in it. Heres what I got.

-Harvest organic potting mix with sphagnum peat moss, horticulture perlite, ground dolomitic limestone, organic fertilizer is Microstart 60, pure and natural processed poultry manure, and composted food scraps. 0.10-0.05-0.05

And lastly I got some Jobe's Organics Fast Start for the seedlings to use about 2 cups worth in the middle of the pot with other soil

Still waiting since Monday for my beans to pop open using the paper towel method :dunno:

Be careful using too much vermiculite. It is spongy and absorbs a lot of water. I used it way back when and I ran into over watering root rot issues. Looks like the mix has perlite in it? If so its probably good straight from the bag!

Seed starter mix works great for seeds, when I was using soil I used a similar product. I dont use paper towels either, just soak the seed until it sinks, you might have to poke it to get it to drop, then straight into the medium. That means no fragile tap root to damage

Good to know bro. Ive never used Vermiculite before. If I used it I was only gonna add like 1 cups worth to a 3 gallon pot. Yeah hoping the seed starter mix helps out.

So I have decided to do 2 beans. The one in the front is a Lowryder #2 and the one in the back is a Lowryder Easyryder. I watered for the 1st time with 3/4ths of a gallon of ph'd water mixed with 3ml of VooDoo Juice for each pot. I used the organic seed starter soil in the middle area and put each bean in a tiny piece of rockwool about the size of a dime so i dont lose my beans this time.LOL. I gotta get my air temps up in the cab a lil bit too. It keeps sitting around 70 degrees F.

Fingers crossed for you!

You can put your cfl's in there to generate some heat, you dont need them right on top of the plants though.

Don't worry mate, they will pop! The less you think about them, the faster they go green!
However, I do believe that you are watering quite vigorously for an unpopped seed.
What I did with mine was just plant them immediately into medium (No germ / No soaking), foliar spray them about 100 - 200 ml each day and keep the top moist. First seedling popped in 4 days! Too much water could rot it, so be careful!
Of course the pot size and humidity matters, ( I even had only 40% humidity on seedling stage!) they still popped with as little water as possible.
