Still waiting for my bean to break soil and pop out. How far should I have my LED light from the top of the pot? Its 23" right now. Thats my max height for my cab from top of pot. I can lower it though if needed cause i have chains.

Thanks Mindzeye. I was going to do 2 beans but decided not to due to it being my first soil grow. I will definitely do a X style LST on it as she moves along. Think I should move my LED closer to the pot Mindzeye? I feel as though it might make her pop the topsoil faster getting it closer.
I dont think you will hurt anything, I started mine 3 feet away and the seedlings were bending towards the light, at about 2 feet they were happy and I let them grow up to the light, right now my light is only 10 inches away but they are flowering.
I just checked out your grow journal once again bro. LOOKING GREAT!!!!! Hope mine does that well. Yeah im about to drop my light down about 12 inches from top of pot for now and see what happens. Im impatient and wanna see GREEN!!!! LOL

Oh and I forgot to mention that when I watered the soil yesterday before dropping the bean I only watered with ph'd water at 6.6, and checked my runoff and it was at 6.0. My tap water runs at a ph of 7.1. So next time I will not ph my water for the first two weeks.

Hello, I really like your set-up and it sounds like you are ready to have some fun. If you just keep your water at 6.5-6.8 everything should stay fine. Try not to be more than .5 difference, ie 6.0 soil gets 6.5 water. Raise or lower your ph over several waterings to avoid stress. Next time you might mix your soil a week or two early and adjust the ph to about 6.3, ph dosen't seem to matter at this point as much as not having a hot (too much nutes) soil. If your soil stays below 6.0 for long you will see problems. I am very commited to two things, easy and comfortable. Soil is both if you start off right, I use promix ultimate and don't add anything until about 10-14 days old. Everytime I think about mixing my own soil I remember the $60 worth of seeds I killed last time I tried that. Good luck and good karma.
Thanks Virginia gent. Thats some very good advice dude. :Sharing One: I probably wont be watering for a few days cause I just did yesterday when i started and my pot is still heavy as shit. lol. When I do water again next though i might add some voodoo juice for the roots but thats it. And only like 2 ml if i do. I didnt plan on nutes until the 15th day or so when week 3 starts.
