Id really like to make like 24 capsules just to have on hand, but can anyone tell me how long they last?
Or how long the THC is still viable after heating?

I'm also very curious what the shelf life for this is and how you would know if you stock went bad. This to me should be used instead of the tremendous amounts of opiods we pump into patients for pain relief and then have to put them on 400 concomitant medications to counteract the symptoms.

Thinking out loud- what coginitive studies have been done on pre-post mmj use and what were the outcomes. How do these side effects compare to those of other pain meds. Do they even compare, I'll have to work up a matrix...

Anyone willing to be my guinnea pig and answer some questions which I could then compare to standard known toxicities of regular pain meds? If I get some positive feedback here I can set up a survey which you can fill out anony and not have to go under the spot light. Just putting it out there to see if anyone would be willing to fill out a survey a few times a week if they are regularly using this.

Second question..how do you determine THC dose? I have started looking into this but it seems all over the place at the moment. What is "strong" what is "weak" how do you know. Is there a common scale beyond weight? How much does tolerance come into play?

I would be interested in comparing long term users to short term and seeing if there is a trail off effect of what would be considered "negative" side effects.


OK so I apologize if this is not the right tenor for this community, I am truly a scientist at heart. If anyone is willing to help pave the way for some inside looks at this I will start building a database to analyze some quality of life data in comparison to current meds being used in a random sampling of participants. I'm already working on a lit review, haha.

As I said this would all be completely de-id data, pure anonymous conveinence style, likert survery.

I have been a chronic pain patient for a bit over ten years now.And have mostly switched to Cannabiniods.And 80% was taken over by THC and CBD's n so forth.I'd be MORE than happy to help if you think Id be able to do so..?Yet the more in depth dealings within the cannabiniods as far as levels n such I understand CBD's and CBN's a very small bit only.But if its about Pain meds?, id be happy to answer any questions you might have from a chronic pain person.

Hey, I was at Krogers today and saw they had three different types of Coconut Oil, including 'Extra Virgin'.

Does it really matter what type in making Canna Caps?
Didn't get any cause wasn't sure if it mattered. Big price differences between them.

theres actually a couple of coconut oil choices thats confusing me as well -- no sure which one to use (but ive seen them used for thc pills)

havent checked local for the capsules -- ebay has 500 pcs for around $7-$8 shipped (sounds like a deal to me)

not sure how long the thx pills will be good for but as long as its stored in the fridge then it should be good for awhile or until used.

anyone who has finished this and willing to share the result -- it would be highly appreciated

First and foremost I'm sorry to hear that you suffer from chronic pain, I'm happy to hear you are able to get some reprieve from something that offers less side effects than the standard pain meds. If you would be able to answer an online survey once a day, I could collect a lot of data in loose case study setting.

What I'm looking for information about specifically how you feel. I would cross reference commonly found symptoms from FDA approved pain meds (constipation, vomiting, headaches, drymouth, etc) and see if you a - feel better on what you are taking and b - if you experience more, or less of the common side effects. Then I would compare to overal QOL of approved research studies. My hypothesis is that you experience less symptoms and feel better.

I'll start working on this tonight, once I find a validated pain analysis and QOL survey (probably the FACT-G), I'll create a survey and post it. Then once a day you could fill it out. Takes about a few minutes.

Ok so I think I will set up a survey with the BIP (brief pain inventory) and FACIT inventory - two highly validated pain/QOL surveys. I need to find some comparison surveys and a list of commonly used pain meds (that shouldn't be hard).

This will take me a few days to set up in a validated way in which I would like to post and make public via this site to entice replication studies. I think we need to ditch our opiates and shitty pain meds and start getting homeopathic my friends.
