Okay...first, you'll want the hygrometer in the bag, not just the box...to get a good reading (to ascertain 70-71% - Time for jarring)
The higher you start, the longer it will take to get stabilized to 62. Also, the more bovedas you have in the jar, the faster
you'll get to 62% (to a point)
As to specific times....too many variables to estimate...bud density, size, etc. the smaller stuff will obviously dry faster than
the bigger stuff or main cola.
RE: Burping - yes, burping is actually specifically for the recently-jarred stage.
No, if your ambient RH is in the 50's, then it's lower and not as moist as anything happening inside the jar.
So when you open the jar up for 5 minutes or so, you are actually allowing moisture to escape faster than
would otherwise occur with just the bovedas...and you're giving the boveda an opportunity to release a little
of the moisture that they have collected. RH will actually spike once you close it back down.
What I try to do now is wait uncomfortably long during the dry, where some of the smaller stuff
appears to be beyond 62% because a boveda will re-moisturize a couple points as well....without
degrading the THC noticeably.
