NEWS Canadians, I am curious ACMPR timeframe.

Options are not always cheap.
I live in Quebec and like Manitoba, you needed a license before Christmas to grow. Recreational was still outlawed.
Getting a prescription from most doctors wasn't easy up until a couple of months ago. And yes your family doctor can sign a form for free( best option).
Providing you have easy access to your doctor as well. Some can be assholes as this promotes the use of a natural substance and not pills.

But your plant can hermie and produce a shit load of seeds.
Its terrible what stress can do to a female plant:vibe::thumbsup:

True enough, but from a breeding or seed saving perspective; limiting male plant availability is kind of genius. Tells you something about what they don't want you doing.

..and I read today that using colloidal silver on a cannabis plant is illegal in Canada.

Figure that one out.

Because you're garantied female seeds.
The legal growers and suppliers invest millions to satisfy gov't regulations.
The last thing they want is competition.
This is why all grows are indoors too.
An entire crop can be wasted by one shmuck like me pollenating a field into full seed. All it takes is 1 male hemp plant.

There's a 100 acre outdoor grow in Brantford, ON... not sure what their end product is...tinctures? I love seeing it move outdoors where it should be. I have little sympathy for the big boys, as tough as the regs are, it keeps them alive and profitable. All the big and small ag seed producers have to consider isolation distances. Seeded bud isn't the end of the world either... I mean, it's not worth criminalizing everyone over.

Monsanto :finger::backside::finger: pulled this stunt with American corn farmers in the US. Re: the movie Food Inc.
In the Branrford area, ag land costs $30k an acre, so at $3,000,000 the end product grown has to generate revenue.
It would be in the LP's better interests to sell us locally grown seed.
There us a definite reason why the OCS make it next to impossible to get seed.
So if the gov't wanna be assholes ( which they usually do very well).
They've reserved the ace in the hole with seed acquisition.
So the license allows me to grow 40 plants outside.
Providing I buy the seeds from the Gov't.
And you thought the mafia was bad.

Check this out, it's one of the best legal resources I've found. It's the "Dear Herb" column...now inactive.

It seems that licensed medical users can share starting materials with any legal adult, but they are risking their license if the gifting is out of proportion. https://www.theleafnews.com/dearher...ith-a-friend-who-wants-to-grow-501998741.html

I'd really appreciate if the med growers out there ( @jrok @Steviestash could check to see if there are regular male/female seeds available from the licensed producers. Without a license I can't even look at their catalogues.

I let my medical lapses but last time I checked you could only get fem seeds or clones and that's if they had it available and not just saying they do
