Grow Mediums Can you suggest some nutrients please?

Hi guys! :tiphat:

I'm new here, and I'm new to DWC. I was wondering if anyone could help.

I've looked around and I can't find a simple answer so apologies if I've missed anything obvious.

I've got those new autos from DP :Cool:, the ones on offer and I've bought a GN0006 . I've got a 20ltr DWC kit and now I need to get some nutes.

Could anyone link me to a nice simple guide or suggest which nutes to buy please?

I'm only going to grow 1 at a time so I don't need gallons of the stuff do I?

Olly If you grow under led ( cal-mag is important and silicia is important) in dwc you should look for non organic feed!

Get some root stimulator!
Get some enzyme!
feed for during grow and feed for during flowering!

MOST IMPORTANT get a good PH and EC meter !

Keep your PH always Between 5.5-6 !!

I use ionic in dwc never let me down easy to use there's just grow then bloom that's it :smokebuds:

as Soylent say get a good ph pen and ec meter say like a
Bluelab Hydroponics EC Truncheon and a
Essentials PH meter

Banging choice of light & a setup that sounds like a winner :dig: I go with exactly what Soylent said there .I use the whole canna range with some AN additives & is really good stuff ... there are easier & cheaper ranges to use tho .You do need the other supplements mentioned for sure + the decent meters . :group: .... for the 1st two weeks after your tap root hits the res ,you want your PH at 5.5 - 5.6 :gthumb:Advanced nutrients PH perfect is said to be nice n easy in DWC ....Genesis nutrients is another good brand Seymour uses now ,very basic 3 bottle range with everything you need .... just cal mag & PK boost for extras maybe ?.

I would go for a quality range to match your LED/DWC Setup or you will be short changing yourself of budz :thumbs:

So I'm gonna roll with Canna hydro Flores and Veg.

I take it 1 litre of each would be plenty for 1 plant? How long would that last? It's about £30 for all of them.

I was gutted at the price of those meters! Are there any cheaper alternatives? Would PH testing paper work? lol

SO now I need cal-mag, silica, root stimulator and enzyme right? Can any of you suggest products please?

Hey Olly, welcome to the AFN family bro! Glad to see you hit the ground running. I won't comment on the nutes as I have no experience with DWC. That being said, I will comment on the meter. I understand it is painful to shell out for what seems like a unnecessary expense but trust me bro. A decent meter is going to save you more money and headache than you will ever imagine. Especially in DWC. I run promix and there is no way I would ever start a grow without my meter. Seriously, the money you spend on it now will save you tons of hard work, dumping the reservoir, refilling, and most importantly it will save you a lot of heartache of making it half way through your grow, having something go wrong and kicking yourself because now you are waiting on a decent meter to arrive. Honestly, it is that important. I wouldn't try to sell you on it if I didn't believe it was the most important tool in my grow op.

Just wanted to sing the praises of advanced nutrients ph perfect, no need even for a Meter if your use that line....I use the complete line and grow what I think is super dank bud! A little bit more $$$ but oh so well worth it night and day better than Fox farm complete line up I was using... I got a DWC that I'm going to take a stab at but not sure what I want to run in it by will for sure be by years end... Sending you a :karma cloud: of a good grow!

Hi Yoda do you use the one component ph perfect feed ?
I have a hard time believing the ph of the solution in the dwc stays constant.
If a plant uses h2o or if h2o evaporates the solutions becomes more concentrated.
(I know the plants also uses some nutrient molecules)
