Yeah this happens to pretty consistently for me, here and there some aren’t that good right away.
i usually start smoking my stuff as soon as it’s dry what’s a cure  :jointman:
Ok right on.. whats a cure hahaha love it.. I hate myself for not cloning this or trying to reveg. This pheno is deff somthing special for sure..

I have had it happen for me often as well but imo it always gets better with a good cure.

I can't wait to see how heavy the gas smell gets. Buds are absolutely ROCK Hard.. I wish I could somehow show a vet grower and have their opinion.. iv enjoyed this plant well over 20 years now and I have never smoked or even seen anything like this in my life.. straight gasssssy grape. My first run ever too.. the other 5 aren't even in the same realm..mids at best

This can happen, I've got a couple of cuts that are good to go as soon as they are dry as long as they get a minimum of 14 days hanging. But I don't come across many like this, most need that time in the jar

If I give them 4 to 8 weeks in the jar they then become absolutely sublime.

I do this for all my own personal stash, I predominantly leave in the jar for the 2 months. Most cultivars become a lot smoother by then and the high matures as the cannabinoids break down, I often think it make some strains a lot stronger in effect.
One of my cut starts out quite racey in effect but after 2 months in the jar it turns into the most wonderful trippy uplifting psychedelic high. Same can be said for another of my cuts, heavy hitting and anxiety inducing but after the 8 weeks mellows to psychedelic couch lock effect. Both of those cuts were reasonably smooth to smoke after the dry.

The dry and the cure is the most important part of the process and the one process I see that get over looked on AFN with inpatients. I get it, most just can't wait to get tucked in to the there stash after near on 3 months growing it.

Shame you didn't keep a clone or re vegged it. That's always the way isn't it, we find an absolute winner and we forget to clone it.
I lost an amazing Sherbert flavoured one last year for not cloning, Double Glock by ripper seeds. Good yeilder as well.

I agree on dry and cure as the more important part of the process 100% and it absolutely gets overlooked ALOT. This is the weirdest part of it all.. this plant was drying in a closet were the temp and humidity varied 2°f overnight from during the day.. 70°f and 60%RH. One clip fan always running on low, pointed in the opposite direction of plant. TOTAL DRY TIME:...drumroll... 5 DAYS. ONLY 5 DAYS DRY AND ITS NOT CRISPY AND CRUMBLING APART.. this has my mind boggled and really threw me for a loop. Jar Hygrometer steadily been reading 58%. Switched them out couple tunes to make sure they weren't off.. all read the same and all go up when taken out of jar..
