@Teetee oh I didn't know coco came with trichoderma in it, so just use silica for 2-4 weeks of veg in autos?

This is how I made my hempy bucket !
1. Perlite

2. Filled to 2in above the bucket bottom where I have six 3/8 holes drilled around the bucket.

3. Another view from the top

Then filled the rest with 70/30 coco/perlite ! What do you guys think??

You could do that fine mate yea but i thought hempy buckets were just perlite and vermiculite. Never tried it myself though!

What's happening everybody? I hope everyone is well and had a great Christmas and holidays with family ! I have a little update of the trials and tribulations I've been going thru this Christmas with my garden. ok

I bought this coco with the intention I would not have to rinse it or anything like that. The guy I follow never rinses his and on the bag it says prerinsed and soaked. As I was saturating medium in shower yesterday I noticed brown water coming out of the bottom so I thought damn that can't be good. I bet that is high salt buildup in the coco and it was. Runoff was 1.3ec / 670ppm

So I flushed in shower for a good 15 min. Brought runoff to 0.1ec /90 ppm. This was all Christmas day, today the 26th I woke up and gave the seeds in their big pots a little feeding around where I planted the seed. The sides of the coco are drying out fast. I have been running both leds for 20/4 auto lighting it's drying the pots out bad. I wonder if I should cutoff leds until the seeds have actually broke ground ! Any input?

Also how close should I have my leds do you guys think? I'm at 41in right now. I'm thinking maybe move that down to 36in under leds !

Hey everyone just dropping in to give you an update!
DAY 1
We are counting today as day 1 although white widow and dark devil I've been up for 2 days now, Northernlights decided to finally poke her head up today and give us her presence. Thank you mam! So with that being said 100% germ rate as of now and all 3 of my ladies are above coco! I sure hope I can keep them alive now, just giving very light 2-3oz watering everyday to keep coco moist for them. I'm ready for them to explode with growth. They are so tiny now and barely above ground !

I know just 2 pictures tofay. When they get bigger I will individually label each pic with strain name
