Cambodian auto

Mine will be smallr, only fitting three clones, as it will be inside the terrarium. Yours can truly accomodate a lot more clones. When you have the space, it is sure better. I don't need more than three at a time, though. Smaller space needs smaller air pump as well. So less noise..
My air pump is a piezo electric one. Completely silent. And I mean completely! All the other air pumps I have tried make noise, even the ultra silent ones. Not useful in a stealth op... But the piezoelectric pumps are weaker ones, so they limit the size possible for a cloner. Your size would need two or three. Well worth it anyways, because of the lack of noise. All I can hear is the sounds of the bubbles. My prototype cloner has the bottom of its lid insulated with sponge, and the whole bubbler is buried in the soil of the terrarium, so it makes no sound what so ever. I will finish it this week and hopefully the Candida clones will root. I hope the water will not be too hot from the tub being in soil. Hope to not need a powerhead as well, due to the small size of the bubbler..

The idea of saving the mom or better yet cloning is very good in my opinion.
Actually , if you work with clones you can save yourself a lot of time.
As for the finicky Cambo seeds.
You can increase your germination rate by soaking the seeds in GBA first.
But practice with cheap hemp seeds until you get your ratio down just right.
GBA is very powerful and can easily kill your seeds if used in too high a concentration.
Google is your friend in this case.
I no longer use Clonex in my cloners.
Clonex is way too expensive for what it is.
You may also research using superthive which is kelp based.
Its still growth hormones, but toned down quite a bit.
Cheers

bro look at this . Ive got an answer from a good seed bank . What do you guys think about this confirmation? oh and by the way if you wanna put a face on this guy here go on instagram savage_canadian_storm . Cheers!

Teide,
Your idea of using the piezo pump is very good.
As you say, if you want stealth and quiet in a living space piezo is the proper way to go.
Depending on the volume of water in your cloner. Heat may or may not be an issue.
You can always throw a themometer in a two liter container, have the pump submerged (recycling the water).
And check the temperature increase after two or three hours.
You may want to add a little h2o2 (hydrogen peroxide) to the water, little is required.
It will avoid bacteria from forming inside the cloner.
This is important especially with the piezo pump.

Please supply some pictures once your project is under way.
Cheers,
GC

Storm, your last post was kinna incomplete.
What seed bank?

This is why I'm making a reserve of my own.
What will do as options once there are no more rudy seeds available on the web.

My advice to you...
Grow some, sellect the best and store them in safe keeping.
Keep the cycle going every year.
History repeats and one day...
No more wild rudy, cause even the wild rudy will be corrupt as a hybrid.

So now I've received all my final seeds and I've just put some seeds in water. Feminized Cambodian, regular Cambodian and regular Kc45, a tall sativa auto. If the regular cambodian seeds from Delta9 Labs germinate and I get a male, I will use that pollen for both auto and photo crosses. If only the feminized cambodian seeds germinate, I will use pollen from the rudi or the Kc45. I am leaning towards skipping the rudi, as it will most likely bring down potency. I will winterize and soak some rudi seeds anyway, and I will se what I decide. The Cambodian auto project has begun!

Teide, get us some pictures of your evolution.
Better yet, start a grow diary on the site.

The regular Cambodian x Rudi mix should be interesting.
I agree that the potency will be reduced.
But that is the price to pay for creating autos, until of course you start having the plants tested for cross breeding.

My first rudi / regular hybrids looked 85% rudi.
of 8 seedlings, all grew to 1/2 the regular size (2 meter sativas).
All flowered in the first 30 days.
They looked ugly as sin (like the rudi).
But had the sativa leaves and long internodes like the rudi.

If Darwin were alive, I'm sure he'd be a pothead!..

Did you get any potency in your photo/rudi crosses, Cloney?
I am on the fence still regarding my rudi. Two meter tall ugly and weak hybrid is not very tempting. Most likely a rudy cross will need much more backcrossing and selecting before achieving an acceptable cambodian auto hybrid, compared with using an already worked auto..
I have tiny seedlings of other regular autos growing at the moment, waiting for a male to appear. I will start the project with one of those. The feminized landrace cambo is two inches tall. I switch her to 12/12 in one week. Emerald triangle's headlights kush and lemon haze, and Dr feelgood by short stuff. One of those will be auto pollen donor. I can always cross a rudy on a later occasion. Excited to know if you managed to get rid of most undesirable rudy traits in your crosses, Cloney.
