Good day Growers, grateful for the help of any of the gurus from The Forum. I'm on week 10 of my Autoflower gelato glue. And over the last week have noticed a slight discoloration browning on The Leaf in this Bud specific area of my plant only. This is a strain from Barney's Farm. It's been particularly sensitive over the course of this growing process. I checked the trichomes a couple days ago on a different bud and its not quite Harvest Time.trichomes are still clear or white. Please help me :)

When I've had to deal with it, that top would get cut and tossed. If conditions allowed me to continue the grow, ie lower rH and warmer temps, I'd finish the rest... otherwise I'd take the whole plant now to avoid loosing more.

Thx. Earlier in flower stages I cut a couple branches too close to the stem because they were dying. Caused a a couple male banana like flowers to pop up. Took those off and it's been good since until now. Hesitant to clip again. What causes bud rot?

Low night temps with humid air is the usual culprit. When the sun sets and the temps drop, there's a normal rH rise... or if someone was misting the plant, the issue is moisture down in the flower that can't evaporate.

When I have flowering girls outside I start getting real nervous when the nighttime rH spike starts going above 50%.

Indoor it can be a lack of circulation, not a usual issue outside.

Thanks I cut the bud rot out

I experienced this with autos for my 2nd time ever having to deal with that.

These plants are flowering out in the wrong time (because we chose to start them now)of the year so they are more susceptible to bud rot imo.

one thing i noticed was this... ONLY my plants that were tied down and had buds bunched up against one another got the rot.

any autos that i let grow tall and straight up didn't get the bud rot! (lesson learned for autos outside moving forward) i expect with the fall harvest it will be a little less of an issue because the environmental conditions will be more normal to fall harvest type settings.

I’m growing outside where the rh gets up in the 90s at night and stays above 50 during the day. Been battling pm and bud rot by using a battery powered fan blowing on my 2 plants 24/7 and shaking the dew off of them every morning. Good luck!
