Dinafem Bubba Kush & Blue Cheese 1'st Dina Grow

Best of luck with your coco run mate, much easier than soil in my opinion, long as you have a decent ph/ppm probe.
I wouldnt use that reptile coco, just wait on your proper stuff- i used canna pro coco- seemed good straight from the bag
what should i do then because my bubba is almost popped out of the top of the root riot cube? the taproot will probaby be poking through the cube by tonight or tomorrow

i was thinking of putting it in some jiffy seedling starter mix in a solo cup until the coco comes...

Yea man. I really dont know if the reptile stuff would be that bad- or it might be fine. If you have to use it just rinse it extra long to be sure
@Wile e Peyote @redrobbo would reptile grade coco be safe for growing in after a lot of rinsing out??
To be honest dude I wouldn't take the chance in work we get bags of coco to use to absorb spilt chemicals one of the lads tried to grow in it fried his seeds and it costs more than the stuff I use to grow starting it in a seed soil should be fine @stepside the man to speak to about the best time to transplant oh and subbed up good luck with your grow [emoji106]

I would guess it would be fine as long as all the salts are washed out.Ive used some coco in block form that was over 600ppm before rinsing but it doesnt take a lot of flushing out.
If i had nothing else i would probably use it after a good rinse but im not recommending it unless you can ensure there are no salts in it with a ppm meter.

little bit of light reading for you http://www.growstone.com/wp-content...ng-coco-coir-v2-Nate-Edits-Paula-Edits-v3.pdf
basically if you cant be sure the excess sodium and potassium is removed (can not be done with flushing) you will get nute lock the only way to buffer coco for growing is saturated with a solution of calcium nitrate to displace the potassium and sodium unless you can guarantee this has been done you could run into trouble :pass:

ok thanks guys :pighug:im not taking any chances if i dont absolutely have to... i went out and got some jiffy seedling starting mix with is pretty much just peat and perlite with MINIMAL nutes  ill will wait for @stepside recommendation for transplanting her. she will be placed in a 15oz pot that i have laying around

she was pushing her shell above the root riot cube so i decided to put some soil over her and add a dome untill she goes in the tent tomorrow or the next im guessing i will put a 2600K cfl up close to her when shes ready

Seems everybody is switching over to Coco... I just got some bushdoctors Coco loco. Only running two pots right now and I think I already fried one plant. Not sure but I think I confused which pot was which and fed it at 6.5ph ooops. I'm definitely subbed up, I need a lesson or 3 in coco
