New Grower BR549's First Grow (or, I finally get off my ass...)

Yeah we cat owners eat and drink and breathe that cat hair anyway. It is everywhere no matter how well you comb your cats and stuff. But it hasn't really affected anything anyway so no worries really. Just take off what you can while trimming.

On a plus side, it makes a nice distraction to the CSI if they ever study any DNA -evidence. :haha:

Who let the dog lover in here? :D

Just got through watering/feeding the ladies, and after going over them all again, I think that's the last food "A" is going to get. There's nothing new going on, and the buds look like they ought to be in a baggie already. "B" and "C" aren't even close to a making a noob wonder if they're done, however, so I have hopes for them!

DAY 56:

I can't believe it's been eight weeks already; things seem to happen so fast with autoflowers that I still haven't had any of that "when are we going to get there" stress yet.

I know I said I wasn't going to move them any more, but I found that they fit better with two in the back and one in the front, then when I tried to move them back to where they were, I got B and C mixed up. That taller one with the big leaves is the baby of the bunch.

Plant "A":

Like I said, no new pistils seem to be showing up, and the old ones are mostly retracted. I'm thinking it's time to just be thankful for what I've got on this one. Forget about what I said about "last feeding", though; if the trichomes aren't ready, I guess it doesn't really matter what else is going on. About half of them are either cloudy or partly cloudy; I'll keep watching.

Plant "B":

No sign of this one slowing down; new pistils all over the place!

Plant "C"

Hmm. Now that I see photos of them, I see why this one has become my favorite!

. Dude! Those buds are looking so fosted and delicious man. NICE!!!
Yeah, that's something else I've learned while here. I couldn't understand all this talk about using trim. I mean, what a waste of time, right? Now that I've seen how frosty the leaves around the buds get, I get it. I'm thinking water cure the trim, grab some canola oil, and then it's brownies, here we come!

I checked the top bud of "A" rather than one of the lower buds, which required a serious balancing job requiring a soda can, a chair and an old tobacco tin. Turns out that the amber is really cooking up there, so I made the decision to give her a flush with Sledgehammer and start her week of no nutrients before harvest. The other two are (judging by my obviously limited experience) at least a couple of weeks away. It's probably just as well to have them split like that; I don't need all three at once for my first harvest!

Edited to add: two weeks? How the eff would I know; it's my first grow! They're not ready yet; let's just leave it at that.

Well, it was wild hair night, I guess. I probably jumped the gun, but if you can't do that on your first grow, when can you do it? Yes, plant "A" has bitten the dust. I pulled her out and was going to trim some of the leaves off of her, and the next thing I knew, I was breaking out the scale. Here's the photos:

My fancy scale complete with custom ham pan...

The weighing:

Hmm...the decimal point doesn't show up too well, which makes that look really impressive, eh?

The buds:

So, going by other wet weights I've seen, I probably got a quarter ounce out of this plant. I know that sounds pathetic to those of you with experience, but keep in mind three things:
1) As I've said before, I know the main thing I did wrong, and improving on this grow should be a piece of cake.
2) This will most assuredly be the lowest weight of the three plants
3) And finally, as embarrassing as it is to admit it, even if the other two plants only do this well, it'll be my best grow ever...

I'm not sure where I'm going to put this whole one grocery bag for the next week, though.
