New Grower BR549's First Grow (or, I finally get off my ass...)

DAY 63:

B and C are still going strong, although they're starting to "look their age" in part. All the excitement for the week was the harvesting of A, so just a picture each and then a close up of the top of C. I have no idea how long these have to go yet, but from the smell of them, it can't be much longer!

Um...yeah...well...about that. I guess putting the bag under the lights with a 90 degree temp was a bit too much. I'm afraid the "cure" is over; they did indeed dry too much. Won't make that mistake again. Still, it smells awesome. I jarred it up and tossed a Boveda pack in the jar. Tonight when I get home from work, I'll weigh it and give the stuff a try. I'm sure the taste won't be what I was hoping for, but like I say, it sure smells good!

Okay, 7.9 grams @58% RH, so a little over a quarter oz. The smoke is much smoother than I expected, and the taste is more complex than weed I've had since I returned to smoking about seven years ago. Theeffect is...well, embarrassing. I screwed up this grow eight ways to Sunday (whatever that old cliche means!) and it's still better than most of what I've bought locally the last few years. My respect for seed breeders in general and Mephisto Genetics in particular has gone through the roof.

There. That gets the dignified response out of the way.

I giggle a little inside, sometimes out, everytime I look,smoke, think about the fact that I GREW THIS! I guess that's how I feel about it, lol. not a better feeling I think.( well there might be 1 other thing that feels better)

I tried mine after I had cured it and was thinking it wasn't that good. Then I stood up and became dizzy. Then it hit me hard.
I realized I had grown some good stuff (Purple Express and Little Kushy Auto).

To be honest, I'm having a hard time believing it. Due to my health problems, I'm on Vicodin. If I'm not smoking weed, I go through seven or eight a day. While smoking, it's only about two a day. With this stuff? I haven't taken one since Sunday. So it's not only stony as hell, it's a supermed!

More news today; plant "B" met the blade. Much better than "A", of course, with the bad boy "C" yet to come! Wet weight is pretty close to twice what A had.

By the way, I apologize for not taking photos of my plants with the fan leaves off and such. I always intend to, as I love seeing those buds on the plants everyone grows. But apparently, if you put me in front of a ripe marijuana plant and put scissors in my hand, I'm gone. Give me a grow or two to get over the noobie excitement (which I'll admit has hit me hard!) and maybe I can start taking more photos.

Edited to add: By the way, if anyone out there needs any help trimming thier weed, I'll be glad to help, as long as I get to clean the scissors afterwards. Damn...
