SSSC Bob's SSSC Grow - Auto Ellephant

Day 48:

Guudmorning everyone,

Got a wee bit to much of a good thing yesterday and fell a sleep with the laptop on my lap, so let's continue with the Friday postings...
It's a grey day today, which is in stark contrast with the previous days. Yesterday on the other hand was an eventful day. In the morning I watered the entire greenhouse which is beginning to become a drag. I really need to automate the sh!t out that one, but more about that later
Cleaned out the nutrient tank and made a new batch two-part MC Veg / Early bloom, pH 5.95 EC 600 ppm. Weather predictions for today where grey and rainy so I did the opposite as last week and raised the ppm as the plant will need less water, but still needs it's nutrients...

Yesterday I received the round matrix from Floraflex. I ordered the biggest ones thinking 15,5"-18" / 40-46cm isn't that big...Luckily they fitted in my 20 gallon fabric pots. For the 7 gallon pots I ordered 10 matrices of 10,5"-12" (27cm-31cm) which I did measure this go around.
I think these 'plates' will help distributing the nutrient solution into the coco, are perfect for automation and actually don't cost that much. So win-win-win!!

And in the evening my alarm went to remind me I had to reapply the Rot Block which @Phyter was so nice to send to me. It was a while ago and when the plants are growing fast you need to apply it weekly Phyter said. So I gave the plants, except the one that's near it's finishline, a good soaking. This time using 1ml of bio soap as a surfactant which did what's it's suppose to.
I applied it just after the sun disapeared as to let the mycelium have as much time possible to settle onto the plant and start protecting the hell out of her

Today this Ellephant is having the time of her life. :woohoo1:

The small dot's you see on the leaves aren't spider mites, but rather residue from the Rot Block application and shouldn't do any harm according to Phyter

Well boys and girlz that was it for the 'Friday' update... I wish you all a nice weekend :pass:

Day 53:

Last update for today, but not the least so to say :toke:
I think my nice brothers and sisters at SSSC Headquarters can be proud of their new creation. It is growing vigorously and height wise is coming in a close second. This strain shows the marksmanship and time that went in, in creating newer and better auto's.

Although being a 'leafy' plant with a very short internodal spacing she is showing predominantly narrow leaves. I'm becoming very curious about the genetics behind this creature, but want to wait until I smoke it as 'not knowing' won't influence my smoke report  But we can assume that some sort of Haze probably went in to the making of this strain..a soft brush against the plant releases a plethora of citrus and pine smells. I sure hope this stays or comes back after curing as these are one of my favorite smells :gassy1:

The lowest bud on the plant. This will probably end up being processed, but is as important as the top of the plant. I'm very curious about this strains medical properties...

Day 55:

Hey Guys,

Not more then a picture update as there's not much to say. Feed in the morning, if it was a hot day feed in the evening. I'm slowly adjusting the pH of the nutrient solution towards 6.20. I'm now at 6.05 and an EC of 650 ppm
Forgot to post these pictures yesterday...Damn Amnesia Haze... Of course I made new ones today, but I did want to share the ones from yesterday as the lighting was just....Golden hour...:cools:

Day 58:

The last couple of days the weather hasn't been that good. Lots of rain and relatively cold. Luckily in the greenhouse the plants always have the advantage so...:woohoo1:
20210622_185652_small.jpg

This did gave the plants a breather after all that hard work af the last two weeks setting them up for a next etappe. I haven't given any water to the plants yet as the humidity is fairly high and the top layer hasn't even dried up.

I did give another application with Rot Block as the growth in one week surely warrants this. As did previously you can see the silica carrier which is a remnant on the leaves, but dosn't harm the plants.

Day 60:

This afternoon the sun started to appear through the clouds which meant the temperatures roze to a nice and warm 31°C / 88°F at times. The plants seem to love this and are following the sun as time goes by. Just lovely how nature works isn't it :bump:
My Ellephant is huge, not two meter huge, but bush-like huge if you get my drift. She is pumping out pistil after pistil.
I'm feeding her now with the two-part MC Bloom Phase recipe + Bud Explosion resulting in a whopping 620 ppm and a pH of 6.12. I'm going to be monitoring this closely as I don't want a repeat of the Bruce Banner incident, but for now she seems to like it and isn't showing any signs of burn. As soon as the temperatures rise I'll tone it down a bit to a more comfortable 550 ppm or so as the plant will need more water because of evaporation...
Now it's time for bud making :baby:

I missed a couple updates but man, solid plants in there! Strong work.

Thanks mate!! It's all genetics and a good nutrient regimen. I'm just the monkey who waters the plants every day :crying:

Day 61:

Hey folks,

Just a quick pictorial update as I'm way to stoned to remember numbers and sh!t...For those of you interested in why... I refer you to this thread. :dizzy:

Day 64:

This Ellephant is getting huge and still spewing out pistil after pistil.
Hybrid vigor is strong in this genetic jewel. I bow my hat to the master grower(s) who made this strain :toke:
20210628_162146_small.jpg

She's getting the nutrient mix I made yesterday. Still the same bloom recipe from MC. Haven't mesured the EC, but had to adjust the pH to 6.12.

Some side buds are getting huge and the calyxes haven't even started to expand. This is going to be a monster :vibe:

Day 69:

This plant has become a beast in the greenhouse! :yoinks:
When I'm done I'll try not to forget and show the roots as I think if I gave it a bigger pot the plant would be even bigger!
For now she and her partygirl next door both drink about 5L a day. pH sits at 6.20 and EC at 770 ppm. Yes at this stage she's loving it, look for yourself :toke:
