Designed to fill a long-term gap in the growing market, the RUCK Temperature Controlled Fans sense airflow temperature and automatically adjust their speed to maintain a constant level of heat.
Based on the German designed and made original RUCK, these fans now feature a thermostat sensor inside the fan to measure the temperature of the airflow and then adjust the fan between four speed settings to maintain a nearly constant temperature without any additional hum.
Because of the internal sensor you can set up extraction with the fan outside of the grow room instead of using a probe to monitor the ambient temperature of the air inside the grow room (as with the Primair). This method will require a bit of fine tuning as there can be some temperature variation with longer lengths of ducting.
The temperature controlled fans are adjustable from 20° to 28° and also feature a slight delay to allow for brief temperature changes such as the opening of a door.
Each fan comes with a 1.5m cable pre-fitted, although a plug will need to be attached.
Expensive, but totally worth it in our opinion.

I'm not advertising - haven't even tested it yet and if it's naff i'll be the first person to say ^_^ .. But i've got hopes that it will be just the ticket!

Yes flat mate, the out take fan is not doing the job - it's at least 3 years old, maybe 4 and it was some of my first bits of equipment so i've had my fun with it ^_^
I've got something awesome replacing it :D

Carbon filters are usually configured like: Filter-->fan---> Ducting out (so the filter and fan are inside the cab sucking air through the filter and blowing hot smell free air into the room)

I'm short on space and like a bigger fan and filter than i can fit in the cupboard. so my setup goes,

(small piece of acoustic) Ducting out ----> Fan (sucking air out) --->Ducting to filter (blowing smell free hot air into the room) - So my fan is outside the cab, and blows into my filter.

Ahhh! I had never thought of doing that. Yes, my set up is:

filter ---> duct ---> hps hood --> duct --> fan ---> duct to outside.

Seems like your idea is a pretty smart way to save tent space. The only potential downsides are that you could raise the room temperature outside the tent (which can be annoying if it's in your bedroom or something).

Those RUCK fans look pretty sweet, but I think you can find a temperature-based fan-speed controller and an inline fan for MUCH cheaper.

To qualify that last statement, the Zephyr 3 runs about 70 USD and an inline fan for your purposes probably is about 70 USD, so 140 USD total, which beats 120 quid quite handily.

Late to this one Blue but just about to start 3 of these with 3 fastbud#2 .

Subbed in, good luck dude:stylez rasta smoke:

New fan arrives today ^_^ The little black creams are coping with the heat.

It's the same hot air being exhausted flat ^_^

Hmm - i've not heard of that one or seen them in the shops. Ruck fans have always had a good reputation and i'm at the stage where I'm not cutting corners to save a few pennies - as long as the kit is good and works for a long time, i don't really mind spending the money :)

Oh my lord!! Kudo - i am so glad you said that! I very very nearly bought a prima klima fan (they are not cheap either) to replace my RVK, It was just by luck i found this nice ruck fan and the internal temperature control sensor sold it for me!! I'll let you know how it gets on!

We're having a silly hot September, I'd like to get my heat down another 5f and would like to move my light a bit closer.
