Sweet Seeds [Blue] Black Cream - Sweet Seeds - Coco

I also got Canna coco nutes so I'll be following this closely!

Hey blue do you think hydroton also works in place of perlite to aid with aeration? I am asking bc I have a photo (dinafem blue thai) that I want to grow as a mom in coco and I already have a ton of clay pebbles lying around!

i rly dont want to answer for blue, but i saw your question and wanted to give you my opinion. i used the same Coco as Blue, but without perlite, i only had some Clay pebbles at the bottom for drainage, and at the top of coco, to smooth out the water when watering :) hope that helped, sorry blue

Sorry flat, i have no experience with hydrotron at all, I wouldn't like to give you duff information! Post up the question in new growers forum if we don't get any info on that here - i think Muddy has spoken about Hydrotron before (maybe part of his pro mix!? not sure)

Watered 50ml @ 5.6 with 2ml per litre Rhizotonic
Temp 82f
250w MH Light height 36 inches

They're looking great - coming along nicely! Second set of leaves starting to poke out - I'll wait for them to arrive and then remove my humidity dome. It's a bit dry in there at the moment (30% RH)

They're doing okay considering the variable heat i'm suffering with. This is an equipment problem and being resolved very quickly.
With some jiggery pokery I've got my cab down to 84f - still not right and one of the ladies is showing me a little bit of leaf twist - could be just doing it's thing, but most likely telling me she's too hot.

Will do piccies next week.

Extraction fan not working?

Also, curious.... what's a reversed carbon filter?

Yes flat mate, the out take fan is not doing the job - it's at least 3 years old, maybe 4 and it was some of my first bits of equipment so i've had my fun with it ^_^
I've got something awesome replacing it :D

Carbon filters are usually configured like: Filter-->fan---> Ducting out (so the filter and fan are inside the cab sucking air through the filter and blowing hot smell free air into the room)

I'm short on space and like a bigger fan and filter than i can fit in the cupboard. so my setup goes,

(small piece of acoustic) Ducting out ----> Fan (sucking air out) --->Ducting to filter (blowing smell free hot air into the room) - So my fan is outside the cab, and blows into my filter.
